I would need something that still fits my lifestyle so would probably be looking at something like Rav4 hybrid. Eventually the wife will stop traveling for work and the 4Runner will be home more than 6 months out of the year. Right now keeping my Tacoma is fine while the wife wheels her 4Runner in NorCal.

Perhaps. However considering that not one but all four of my shocks/struts that they fixed are leaking after they rebuilt them (within a month I see now looking at pics of my truck), is a suggestion that they don’t always do the best work.

Although they did good work for you, which is great, they didn’t for me. Seems fair to let other Wisconsinites see both sides. The guy seemed knowledgeable and gave me a good deal. But in the end, I have to pay handsomely to fix the work I already paid for.

That's fair. I just hope it's an isolated incident. I can't imagine they would still be in business if this was a normal result. I feel bad having recommended them that you had to deal with that.

I did mention it to Nate, and he said you should bring it back. But, I told him you moved out if state. He said there are a few reasons that could happen.

I just wanted to point out that they would have tried to make it right. Although, I'm sure we both could agree that getting it right the first time would have been better.

Before you go all in with the Rav4 Hybrid, take a look at the CRV Hybrid. Toyota Hybrid AWD system isn't the best if you get stuck in snow or ice.

    So. Many. Stickers.
The CR-V CVT is absolute trash, though. Replacing them at 30k.....

The E-CVT in the Hybrid has been improved and I have yet to have someone have to get their CVT replaced on a new CRV even with 50k + miles on it. Maybe just some bad luck on previous models? I don't know? I don't make the cars, just sell them haha ;)

Oh yea, and a 30" light bar. I really don't want to spend $800 on a Baja...

I went with a Warn EVO 10S. Wasn't much more than off brands I looked at, and the warranty is excellent.

I have used it to pull a Volkswagen picnic table out of sand, and some random dicking around. It has worked well. Wireless remote is nice! I recommend picking up a spare battery for the remote right away.

For a budget option, Engo has good reviews.

Smittybilt makes a decent winch, otherwise Warn makes an also excellent but far more expensive winch.

Diode Dynamics makes a good product for the lighting option.

Rigid is the bomb, but going to cost $800 like you said. Caliraised has decent lights, and makes nice OEM style dash switches.

If I drop 800, I'd go Baja only because I already have some Baja's on the bumper, and I know a guy who can get a decent discount on them

If ENGO, I would go XR10S. I don't think it's much more than the SR, and has a better waterproof rating.

I was also looking at Rough Country for budget lights awhile back. They seem like a good bang for buck. Also Nilight for an Amazon option. Either one of these will probably get the job done. And, if nothing else, they'll give you something to use while you save up $800. :)

I failed to mention, the light bar can't be longer than 31.5" total to fit in my bumper, BAMF hybrid is designed around Baja lol

So that kind of limits my options. Traveler has a light bar that will fit perfect, but I have never owned any of their products.
