Honestly, no one has brought that up. These started making the rounds with 3rd gen owners then a few people retrofitted to 2nd gens and now we have the 2nd gen version.

So yours contacts the same way as the proto? Hmm that's not right. I thought Ripp would have set it up like the OEM denso angle. Are they leaving it at that?

I think the angle is pretty similar but the coil pack itself is much larger. Not sure they replied that theirs fits but I replied back that it still looks like its not on the seal based on the photo but said I would see if anyone else can check and provide feedback. I really do not like that it rubs on the valve cover. I can imagine that shit gets hot and the cover of the coil pack is plastic so likely not good to just sit on the hot as valve cover.

Resurfacing oil cooler topic. Whenever this eFan Arrives, figure this would also be a good time to increase the oil cooler from the small Toyota version. I have a 12k winch upfront as well so space is likely limited and as of now prob not set up to run the big boy that @zscott has setup. Any other good options besides Haydon 678 or Derale 52506 (this seems to popular but may not be enough). If so would you guys recommend running an additional thermostat housing? Also unsure if I want to keep existing piping (prob the easiest) or separate out and run the trans direct.

Any suggestions or direction from anyone who has a larger winch up front and has had good success so far. (really would like to do the bigger CSF but going to go with a smaller one for now but larger than the factory.

Here's some more angles of mine. The body is big, I agree. Maybe you want to try the 4R ones as the other boosty bros have. At the very least, they should fix the Tacoma fitment.

yah if they had just moved the mount over slightly it would have been money. Really bugs me that the thought it was good when it clearly is rubbing on the valve cover even on the prototype.

Also looking at the stock ones the angle of the mounting hole is less extreme too which may have helped.

Yeah that definitely reeks of rush it into market quality control for sure. I'm surprised they sent that prototype pic as "proof" of good fitment

yah you can get it to bolt on but its not as smooth of a fit as you would expect for 350 bucks.

I have the different offset ones for the newer motor style. I will say I am not confident with the seal on the coil packs but I think I just have to trim the part that goes over the sparkplug. Other than that there isn’t any issues with it hitting the valve covers.

yah almost seems like it sits high even though the length of the new ones is the same so my guess the expectation of the bolting down seals it but one side is not flush so that's what its getting me and that rubbing on the valve cover.

Also makes me wonder if the bottom which is slimmer on the stock one is causing part of it to not sit flush as well.

So the Tacoma Ripp coil packs fit like shit and the 4Runner ones for much better but have to have extensions made? Is this correct.

so far that's what I am seeing the mounting point is flipped so it sits in a new orientation compared to the factory which requires extensions. You can see how much larger the RIPP coil pack is so that is interfering with the valve cover.
