Yeah I know, just couldn’t find a routing that I liked. Think I got it figured though, ordered the lines up from crown.

Thanks for the heads up! That's exactly why I posted on here.
Yea I'm in over my head quite a bit, but that's how I usually learn the most lol. I was hoping I could relocate the upper tabs to get the length and angle right for a DK spec bypass. I have not ordered shocks yet. Can anyone confirm the compressed length difference between a TC bypass and DK bypass?
I will have both brand of components to do some mocking up and measuring of the differences. So I will be taking my time with the research part of this for sure.
Worse case scenario, I hack the TC hoop off and start over w a DK hoop. If I don't like what I find out about the differences, I may just do that to start with.

I’d call TC and DK to get the measurements.

TC Spec Bypass: Fox Part #: 982-02-954
    Extended Length - 23.51 inches
    Compressed Length - 15.38 inches

    Fox Std 8" Bypass: Part # 980-02-212
    Extended Length - 25.430
    Compressed Length - 17.430

    Sources for all you haters.

This is not a bad idea being it's their kit. I'm sure DK will have the information he's looking for. They could have a spec'd shock as well but nothing I'm finding on the interwebs.

They'd have to have that info since they have drawings of parts to send to laser.

Hmmm, TC is a lot shorter spec. King standard 8" compressed length is 1.43" inches shorter than a Fox standard. 16" to 17.43". Well I definitely need to do more research smh. There is no way to know until I mock it all up.

King's standard eyelet is a 2ish". Fox's standard eyelet is a 2.95". They offer a 1.95" eyelet as well that you can swap out and get closer lengths.

You can use King and SAW rod ends too - between that and just using new tabs you'll make it work if you have to - how far apart are TC's LT and MT secondary top shock mounting points?

Just got off the phone with Tyler at DK. Their spec is a 3.0 bypass and it's 16.7" collapsed. So I'm pretty sure I will have to pull something out of my ass to make the TC hoop work.

I do like the fact DK adds a gusset pipe between top of the hoop and the frame on their kit. Way more strength than TCs hoop.

That is a good question on the two mounting points between TCs MT and LT hoop. To me they look identical and the only difference is the fact you have to relocate the bump stop inboard on the MT, so it comes with a bracket to mount the bump stop to. This was my butcher job, but it worked lol. Hopefully it will be easier to add cans because the OEM horn is already removed. Gonna call TC here in a minute and see what they say.IMG_4235.jpg

A 3.0 bypass for the front?

That's what he said and I questioned it too.

TC says that is the same hoop for the MT and LT.

So for Kings the TC collapsed is 15.971, w a 23.973 extended for the LT. Seeing as how I have Kings to start with I'm thinking I would have a better chance of making them work since the Fox standard is quite a bit longer.

The eyelet on my smoothie secondary is 2.90 ish, but that is a standard length set up.

This is gonna be a pig fuck if I'm not careful lol.

No worries - just mount the bypass and coilover without springs once you have the kit installed, remove the nitrogen, and cycle the arms to see if your bypass is limiting travel before the coilover.

I mean it makes sense. These trucks aren't light up front but I would think a 3.0 would only be necessary on the more extreme builds/uses. I'd image I'd be happy with a 2.5" bypass up front but my build is a little different in application.

Seems to me that DK really wants to build a durable product, hence the 3.0 and the gusset on the hoop. Everyone is pushing the send button a little harder out there these days, and they're trying to do it loaded down like an overlander.
@Dalandser @desertjunkie760 Thanks for your time Gentlemen. At least I'm headed in the right direction. Problem in Florida is there are no prerunners here to compare and measure off of. It took me forever to find someone to build my bumper. They can build you an airboat or a Tuna tower but the most frequent response I got was "what the hells a prerunner?"
@LTDSC Hey Thanks for checking in Sam! Recognize your bumper?

i had to take a tab off my tc hoop anyway and re weld it in the right place. No idea how/why TC has them tacked too tight to even fit the bypass in to cycle. Let alone their hardware is bigger than the holes drilled on the tabs anyway :annoyed:

There aren't more people pressing the send button harder, there are just a lot of people pretending like they do.

Maybe different size spacers made the bypass not fit in - or was it just a few thousandths? What size were the holes - not 1/2"? I've had to dremel / chase out stuff sometimes when laser cutting and machining left things a little out of spec.

3.0 is a big upgrade. People run 2.5's so no worries sticking with them - as always any truck's rear will limit it before the front in 90% of setups.
