Man I hate to be the random guy to ask stuff but I was wondering if anyone who did the swap still had their old 4wd ecu/ switch laying around? Im chasing problems and cant do the conversion and wanna swap 4ecu just to make sure its not mine. or to at least take that one possible if rare failure out of the equation

you could have just swapped the wires under the dash to avoid dropping the case, I know I had to triple check mine when doing install to make sure everything was right.

I’ve got a switch and ECU, about 10k miles on it. Still functional, I swapped mine out due to a problem with the transfer case actuator. Send me a PM if you want to arrange shipping.

Lol dammit this would’ve been so much easier :bananadead:

I have a bad habit of trying to do things by the book instead of using my head to solve a problem. Won’t forget this now though, I appreciate the information!:hattip:

Did a real off road test. Everything works perfect instantly, Add switch, elocker mod, and fj case. So much easier and reliable than how it was. This was Definitely worth the leg work.

Anyone know what would cause the switch for my ADD switch to stop lighting up when engaged to 4wd? ADD engages just light on switch went out? Faulty led?

If you know it’s definitely engaged then Most likely it’s Led failure.

Did you get it off their website? Every time I go to the website there isn’t any way I can “add to cart” or any way to place an online order

Just built your own for about 10% of the cost. His switch is a total rip off.

You can call them. And make the order that’s what I did. But you can also buy the switch at OTR switch guys.
I just purchased the switch from him. I made the wiring harness myself with some help from 6gear. Thanks again!

What gauge wire would be appropriate for wiring the ADD switch?

I did 18 gauge. That’s what RST said they use when I emailed them about this t case swap but others I talked to went a bigger gauge And I’m sure it’ll probably be better and safer? I just already purchased the 18 gauge from Amazon so I used it.
