No. I have basically the same furnace. It runs off of 110v. Double pole breaker gives you 220v. Those supply things like dryers, stoves, hot tubs, sub panels.

reverse the wires on the treadmill motor (this should make it a commutator/generator) and do the same to the air compressor motor, lay the air compressor on its side, take the wheel off the recumbent bike (use the WiFi router and cable box to prop it up) and hook the chain to the compressor pulley. Now cut the plugs off the TV, fan and stereo and twist them to the compressor/treadmill wires. Finally, splice the Christmas lights into the sump pump.

Your folks will get tons of exercise watching Christmas movies, listening to Christmas music and doing on-line Christmas shopping and they can stay cool doing it.

the lights will come on when it rains and the sump pump trips.

Seriously though, I’m in the bathroom right now and the lights over the vanity mirror (which are on a separate circuit), are pulsating in unison with the treadmill!

    Is this normal?

FYI, the fixture originally had two CFL bulbs but one burned out recently and none of us has had time to hit Home Depot...

The stove is gas; Wall oven is double pole though...

you can’t use a regular bulb and a CFL squiggly bulb in the same fixture, especially in a bathroom.

I think it has something to do with the Coriolos effect and Schroedinger’s equation.

I’ll be sure to tell my dad that; I rarely use that bathroom and just noticed it tonight...

Also, anything pulsing with the treadmill makes me think you have a huge imbalance in your loads. What’s the voltage actually reading at an outlet? 110 is old and minimum, you should see more like 118-125volts ac at each outlet.

I don’t know if this has been said yet but is the GFI tripping or the breaker in the breaker panel?

The treadmill may also be a problem with a bad speed control board, time will tell on that.

are you connecting the light strings in series or running them all and sticking the plugs at the outlet?

could be a neutral to ground imbalance that is causing this as well.

Its tripping at the GFI, not the breaker; I’ve got the lights divided across have a dozen or so outlets but several are plugged into each other.

Get a gfci tester and check to see all the outlets are wired correctly downstream of the gfci. If it continues to trip, I’d replace the gfci sometimes the Hall effect sensors are known to go bad, if that doesn’t fix it your problem is with something you plugged into the outlets. Are your Christmas lights 3 prong or two prong plugs?

2-prong but plugged into 3-prong extension cords and power strips.

By the age they are arc fault breakers (not just gfi's) if the treadmill is a brush motor it will trip them (arcs and sparks inside of the motor.) Arc faults are super sensitive and trip easily major cause of service calls.

My teacher read this book to my class when I was either in 2nd grade or 3rd grade; I forget which, but it was hilarious!
