Can’t say I understand why they don’t offer that. They sell plenty of other OEM parts. Badges, mudguards, entry guards, mats, etc... They would make a killing selling those headlights. I’m gonna stick with my OEM halogens just because I want to keep an OEM truck. They aren’t great, but they aren’t terrible either.

I think you should check out the headlight review sticky by @crashnburn80 before proceeding with the Alpha Rex. I’m not sure where you’re seeing the good reviews. I hope you’re not basing that off the YouTube videos where they get the lights for free to give the review. They are terrible lights, you’re better off with the Morimoto XBs if you want to drop that much money and don’t want to do a retrofit.
I would say save the money and do a retrofit yourself. You can get a pair of RX350, clear lens and tuned anywhere from $250 - $400. Add another $175 for the HID harness, ballasts and bulbs. And $5 in paint. You can have a nice set of BHLM headlights with a good HID setup for under $500 if you do your homework and not pay over priced TRS for the projectors.

You can get OEM LED for like $1400.

Hard pass on anything Alpha Rex. Post #176 with all the quoted content captures most of what you should know. Definitely not something to buy. As to the positive reviews, people intrinsically rate foreground light as more impressive than distance light. A headlight is supposed to work the opposite way, foreground light should be minimized and distance light maximized. Unfortunately we see lots of people rate poor performing lighting products very highly online due to high amounts of foreground light which makes people believe their lights are better than they are and is indicative of a poorly designed headlight product. That isn't how lighting products are supposed to work, but you are also getting reviews from people with no qualifications and many of the "Off Road Shops" are some of the worst offenders.

If you look at the 3rd Gen headlight thread, the highest performing LED assemblies based on actual science is the OEM LED assemblies. Morimotos original LED assemblies were outperformed by OEM despite their attempts to sell the storyline otherwise. However they have recently released a revised Gen2 version of the light with claimed improved performance which will be in the thread shortly. It will be interesting to see how it compares.

I am sending out my OEM headlights today to have them redone by Kevin. Really looking forward to it. I think we decided on a really good look
