Looking for picture of carpeted cover for rear of a regular cab

I'm looking for a picture of the carpeted cover for the rear of a regular cab, buck seat Tacoma. I'm looking for the part and need a picture to reference while looking. I hope any of this makes sense, but it'd help me out

 

Should remove 'help' as that's normally reserved for someone that needs assistance from other TW members IE break down, stranded, etc.

Placing a more descriptive title will yield better results.

Your sure it is a regular cab?? All the ones I have seen do not have any extra seats .

If my extra cab has carpet I have never seen it but for the day I bought the truck

 

I'm being clear as mud. I converted my regular cab to bucket seats with a center console.
I'm pretty sure the ones that come factory, as few as there are, come with a little piece of carpet that covers the bare metal of the rear cab.

I'm trying to find that piece, but I can't find a picture to send out show what I want

This is it, Toyota calls it the "trim, rear panel" which is a bit hard to find. I knew this was exactly what the op is looking for since I have a regular cab, added bucket seats, and longed for some carpet to cover up the bare metal and heinous noises coming from the rear of the cab. I have been looking for this part for almost a year now, and just barely got one myself.

I will tell you they no longer make this part (64271-04100-B0) new for the regular cabs and they are extremely difficult to find used as I have seen may regular cabs with factory buckets that actually dont even have this "trim, rear panel" as the factory calls it. There was one part # for a version with rear speaker boxes, and one without.. again I have never found any new or used over the last year.

Here is my solution in the works, I found a "trim, rear panel" from a double cab of the same "charcoal" color 01-04 and I plan to make some cuts to have it fit over the jack and tools hardware on the rear panel. Here is the double cab part 64271-04080-B0 I was able to pick off ebay just last week for $120 shipped:



As mentioned it doesnt have the proper cutouts to fit without mods, but the overall shape of the cab is the same and you can see the mounting clips and slots are lining up below in my first mock up I tried this weekend. The issue is the bottom does not have cutouts for the jack and tools so it sticks out a bit now at the bottom.



Next I will be trying to make the cuts to have this thing fit to perfection on my regular cab. If @0xDEADBEEF can simply remove his carpet, trace the panel with all the cutouts, and send it to me I can make a perfect replica!!

 

Hmmm. I've been meaning to pull mine out and put some sound deadening behind it. Any idea how much work it is to pull? Once it out measuring it up is easy.

 

This would be really helpful and what great timing if you plan to add some extra insulation!

It is super easy to pull out too.. just grab the top and bottom and pull on the plastic center trim piece that runs along underneath the rear window.


Starting at the outer edge where it meets the side trim below, and the clips will release as you pull away from the rear cab wall.


There are 5 across the panel (see green circles where it mounted). Then you see the white clips that hang the carpet (blue circles), pull these out too.

The sides of the carpet will be slightly tucked under the side panels and can be pulled away as well. Then pull the entire carpet right out with some gentle lifting.


Note: I am unsure if you may need to remove the jack tools and/or mounts also (with a socket) since I dont actually have the trim piece and dont know how it fits on those parts. But easy enough to unbolt if needed.

If you can take good photos and measurements while it is out this would be super awesome for me, the op, and anyone else trying to slather some extra oem luxury into their regular cab!

So I pulled it out, I'll find some time this week to measure it up and maybe draw it. Came out nice and easy and that back wall of the cab is the cleanest part of the truck

I also found some coffee beans back there....hmm.

 

Nice to hear you jumping on this one! If you could draw it up and scan it to possibly allow some large scale printing this could be pretty darn cool. Or even just some good photos with rulers could work out perhaps. Just thinking here, never quite done this..

I love coffee though and brew a mean pot!

We can see how the squarish shaped holes simply kind of surround the mounts for the jack and handles. Getting them cut out in the correct position is all we need to figure out basically. I can probably do some careful measuring in my cab and emulate this, so I'd say you can likely stop on your template drafting and move forward on your sound deadening at this time!

Also I am seeing there are quite a few differences as far as the shaping and factory holes between the two goes. On your original regular cab part, the lower center portion of the carpet is formed to cover most of the center mount so this will be a bit different on my double cab. And there are distinct differences in the molded shapes around the holes on the lower section and the double cab model has a bunch more holes and slots for me to deal with it seems. Even the entire bottom edge looks different, again making the template idea seem fairly futile.

Shouldn't be too big of a deal to cut the holes surrounding the jack and tool mounts (yellow zone), although now I realize I need to do some research about covering up all these bonus holes (orange and red areas).

I will need to look up these OEM part numbers to see what goes here and cross my fingers they still make them, hope they are small cheap plugs and come in charcoal!!

Dang that oem regular cab rear trim panel sure is sleek and sexy compared to the swiss cheese edition I am working with here... thanks again @0xDEADBEEF for your effort pulling the part and taking the great photos!!

 

No problem. Yeah its definitely a bit different, more than it would seem at first glance.

You might also check out an upholstery shop, I bet they could whip something up. It might not be OEM, it might be better

I've got that big bonus hole in mine too, I think someone wanted to mount the trailer light controller or something.

Let me know if there's anything I can get off this. Sound deadening won't be here till saturday, so this thing will be just lying about on my kitchen table.

 

Hahha!! I am definitely using this oem part, it is mostly behind the seats anyhow but will do what I can to cover some holes.

Well as long as everything is already covering the dinner table, maybe you can take these measurements I made with black lines from the outer edges to where the corners of the holes are.



I also tried to repair your carpet for you, so sorry someone gashed her in such a heinous manner!

 

Damn wish I would of know you needed this. I have a couple for the 95.5-2000 in blue/gray and oak and a couple gray ones for the 01-04 in gray.
