yes exactly what I am saying. You most likely will be more than you expect. My current weight non X1 is 7k lbs which will likely change some.

ha yah. Was talking with @frenchee I'm going to update the form to add a location to see where we all are at. The 1st gen folks are going to run into some design considerations as well. For the 2nd gen sounds like they are still working on but would be good if we could get some donor trucks there and see where we all are at.

    I was thinking
    PNW
    California
    Mountain
    Central
    East Coast
    SouthWest

Cant list them all but any thoughts on geos? Unless there is a plug in for google forms which ill check on.

LOL I disagree.. both my 00 and 06 got cancer on the frame and didn't make it. Although both had 200K+ miles, the frame cancer was the only problem.. upper mid-west diet of winter salt.

Drove 1300 miles one way to purchase the 2021 equipped the way I wanted and that was available including a discount from MSRP. 2600 miles round trip.

Ha. Well if you kill them yourself that doesn’t count. You should probably move to California and give your truck the long life it deserves.

Picking up my x-1 later today, made it 11 hours before needing a break from driving. Can’t wait to see the operation in person and get some use out of a camper shell again, my truck has been naked for too long

Howdy squad! New 2nd Gen SB Tacoma owner who just joined the forums! Y'all are a cornucopia of info.

I, like many, was lusting after a Vagabond Drifter but am spooked by the long wait time (20 months for some folks, good grief) and frustrating lack of communication (I've reached out twice with no response).

Would love some flavor from Team Super Pacific: Has anyone had a successful 2nd gen SB install (withOUT a huge tailgate gap)? Anyone thinking about adding a side window or two (I think I'd really appreciate the visibility while backing up and for the dogs).

Thanks everyone! Excited to be in Tacotown!

    -Aaron

The 2nd gen SB is the first one off the lot so no more feedback there. I did get some feedback from Spencer yesterday and they are hard at work making a few changes for 1st and 2nd gen owners. A removable front window/slider and other options for venting for animals are top on the list but at the moment they are hard at work catching up on orders/production. Sounds like it will come but for some of us, it will have to be a future upgrade. If you buy in now you have plenty of runways but as of now, it is not an option but I expect they will have one soon enough.

At least on this page, I am the next 2nd gen up and hopefully plan a pick up soon but still waiting.

Thanks for the beta! The question of whether to guinea pig or to wait for revisions (emphasis on wait, hah).

I could totally stand waiting for upgrades (and actually having a tent this year!), but that gnarly rear gap would be a deal-breaker.

Thanks for being the litmus test for more cautious folks! Looks like I'll wait for a few more 2nd Gen folks to dip their feet in the water before jumping myself.

the next 2nd gen that rolls out will have it fixed I am pretty sure about that. They assumed the 3rd gen which is the same size would cover all but that was not the case. If you get a deposit down now you looking at mid-next year anyway and there are several lined up for the next couple of months. If your planning on it I would get in now. $500 deposit is not 50% like some others.
