Hey, guys. Question about upper control arms. My friend replaced his recently and now I'm wondering if I should too :/

I know that upper control arms are stronger and don't get in the way as much, but do they help increase suspension travel. (Regarding a non-long travel suspension setup without the long travel control arms)

In other words, does replacing an upper control arm help increase suspension travel?

    Thanks in advance!

It corrects geometry and prevents the upper ball joint from hitting the coil. Moreso on lifted trucks. So yes.

If you are stock, leave the arms and remove the sway bar, you'll get more travel by removing it.

Usually arms benefit at 1.5" inches or more.

I like these guys a lot

They don't provide additional travel, though some will allow for it.
Most Uniball UCAs allow for higher working angles which when paired with an "extended travel" coil over such as King/Fox/Icon etc can cycle more travel.

If you don't offroad much, or the offroading you do doesn't find the limits of the front suspension regularly then theres really no reason to spend the money on the upgrade.

Yea, but its not recommended to remove them. But for a weekend off roading trip its worth it to some.

It helps prevent the opposite tire from going up in the air on challenges.
