The dash bulbs are LED and dimming is achieved with Pulse Width Modulation or "electronic time switching" though a solid state relay.

By that I mean dimming is actually technically more work for them.

Now the accessory switch lights and AC console lights are incandescent but I don't know that dimming the dash lights dims them as well as mine have never worked.

Replaced the AC lights with new OEM and the left two burned out in a week.

Is this to prevent cracking? Have yours cracked before, and do you know why if so? Just curious.

    1. Hand wax 3 times per year
    2. Complete all scheduled maintenance.
    3. Monitor oil and all fluid levels between changes
    4. Always warm up prior to driving (even a short warm up during summer.
    5. Frequently check tire pressures.

Also.... my truck is not a daily driver. So I make sure to take it out a couple of times a week and get it to operational temps.

    Some good ideas on here.
I do a few similar task as mentioned, but here's a new one.

I vinyl wrapped the door sill edge along the rocker to prevent scratching the paint with boots or shoes.

Yeah and for cosmetic reasons as it helps the black rubber/plastic to shine and helps repel dirt. The boots still get filthy of course when you go offroad but they look great once you clean them up and rub a little silicone spray onto them. The 303 spray would be good too.

I sanded and repainted (bedliner) mine once and it was a huge pain. I can't imagine doing that on a yearly basis. I ended up ditching my rack.

In a snow state, I don't crank the blower to full blast. Go out, start the truck, turn it to 3, go back inside. Maybe it's just a 4cyl thing, but it will take longer to heat up if the blower is going full tilt.

Liberal application of wax would be second only to the garaging.

I watch my fuel gauge like a hawk.

I can’t do my own oil changes anymore , but I check the oil stick afterwards. Last oil change they overfilled it by a quart! Might have blown a seal.

Surprising how disciplined some of you all are, kudos.

Try to shift before hitting the rev limiter.

Try unsuccessfully to keep it under 100 on the highway, under double speed limit on the road.

Push the ac button off a little before I get to where I’m going to help clear out the moisture in the ducts.

Fill up before I hit 1/4.

Keep eyes forward when passing an accident.

NEVER touch my phone while driving.
