Totally different, you knowingly risk damage off-roading as a price for the experience and joy of the adventure. Years later you can look at the damage with a beer in hand and remanence of the amazing adventure. In contrast, the permeant ring if the cup holder from a rotting two week old latte leaking out of the paper cup, a daily reminder of how lazy and inconsiderate that person was.

I know the feeling...driving in Colorado last month at 80mph and a turkey tried to fly across the street but ended up slamming into the side door of my truck, right at the mirror. Yup, dent in the door panel. Will try to pop out from the back. Also in Colorado on the same trip, something on the freeway flew up and dented and scratch the passenger rear fender, about 2" scratch and dent. I should have known something was up with these Tacos when a rock broke my windshield 8 miles from the dealership. Should have bought a Ford, they are in the shop so much nothing ever happens to them.

A few years ago my truck got a nasty smell going inside until I found the half ate hamburger smoothered with Onions my mother in law had kicked under the seat a few days earlier because she didnt want to carry it until we got home. Sweet lady but I cringe when she rides in my cars. I keep my windows clean and it never fails she will start wiping the fog off the glass with her hands before the defroster can do its job.

Happened last Sept with my wife's almost new Rav, some millenial mentality opened their door and tagged mine..said OOPS then closed the door. He didn't realize I was 8 feet away and took a pic of his plate before he started backing out until I said "ummm you just hit my vehicle" and he tried to deny it, then upon being told what exactly happened "Well what do you want me to do about it!?!??!" as his friend is telling me to fuck off. Yeah.....

Turns out he was driving Mommy's car, so of course he doesn't care.

Your woman needs to stay the hell home and make dinner. If she was doing that there would have been neither ding, nor chinese food. And both you and your truck would be healthier for it.
