Insurance
Life in general I had to stop.
Buying a plane was in the works and my partner bailed at the last min.
So it put a bad taste in my mouth and then just went downhill from there.
My fav was definitely float flying.
I’d take a plane on a day where no one else wanted the plane.
Throw my fishing gear in and go fly and fish off the floats.
Lots of great memories.
Now to start back up would be out of my wallets capabilities..
Sad but true.
I’m poor.

Sounds freakin awesome, im jellies. Its not cheap, thats why I hang glide. Not quite as many thousands of dollars.
I had 20 hrs towards my PPL while I lived in VA. My logbook ‘vanished’ during the divorce (into the trash I presume..) and the airfield had no records so I’ve had to start over. Itll take half the time but still.. the local peeps in Portland arent a part 141 school so its kind of a free-for-all and my second takeoff after not flying for 6 years, the flaps stuck down and I accidentally STOLed and wont go there again. Next nearest school is Sanford.. over an hour away. Sigh.

His name was Vern. He was an old flyer from the old days.
I don’t know how I would rate the school now but back then they were awesome..
