Cutting Catalytic Converter

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone here has cut out their catalytic converters out their V6 4.0L tacomas, and if so, how does it sound?

Also, I have a 2wd PreRunner, and I want to put some BFG rugged trail tires on my truck, what size are the ones that come on the TRD off road tacomas, and can i mount them on my rim on my PreRunner?

you can remove the 2 rear cats and weld in straight pipes for some more tone and a little better flow...sounds decent too. as for tires.....265/75/16(or the equivalent 17) is biggest you can go without a lift.

the tires that are on the offroad tacomas are either 245/75/16 or 265/70/16

from the ones i have heard, not raspy at all......more of a deep tone than raspy.

Old, Old, Old, Old Thread... Buuuut... Would you be able to tell a lil difference if you just cut one cat?

I don't like a loud exhaust-but it would be nice to hear SOMETHING lol.

anybody know of a sound clip without the rear cats? I can't seem to find one on youtube...

 

Probably would mess with your back pressure a little just cutting one bank.. There's two in each bank.
