I do not have kids yet but they probably will come in 5 years or so. Thanks for all the input guys. I really do think I am going to go with a long box.

Oddly enough, I was thinking I'd go DCSB if I ever bought another one....

    Don't tell @Sasquatch3153

Also more than likely if I ever bought another one I would still have mine as the "work truck". Plus that would be a long ways off.... Don't have much mulah to trade

    Aka

    TRAIL LIMO

Lol. Good stuff. What color are you thinking? (And stick with the off road trim. Better shocks out the door and waayyy better brake system.)

Well said! And, absolutely correct. Many have conquered the majority of the Pipeline in stock Tacos. And, with decent tires, they'll go farther than most drivers will ever need.

Agreed on the ground tent option. As much as I love my platform, my Coleman instant tent sets up quick, and is super spacious!

Yeah I have an MSR Stormking actually from my dads Alaska trips so its the best tent a guy can really buy so I might just go that route.

Yeah thats what I am thinking. The only options I am doing from factory is door sill protectors, led headlights, blind spot monitoring, and bed mat. Maybe the black out kit because why not.

Double check to make sure it has the towing set up. I don't know that they ship without them, but double check. Also make sure the dealer leaves the bed cleats in the truck. They're known for taking the small things out of the truck and then selling them to you later. And my two cents, make sure you get the roof rack from the factory. If you don't end up using it for anything, it doesn't really add weight and mess with the aero too much. But if you do end up wanting a real roof rack, you'll have the provisions to start.

    I love this haha.

One moment, we're all like "yea man, start slow and small with mods" to a newcomer.

The next moment, "bro where are those 35s and regear at?"

    TW in a nutshell!

I think the towing package comes standard I think. I didnt even think about the roof rack. I suppose it would have the holes and everything.

Same. I had my truck for 3 weeks before I did the first mod which was a hood swap... Then somebody invited me to a mod day... then I was dared to go wheeling and actually do something with my truck besides hauling furniture and appliances everywhere... Then I actually started wheeling the piss out of it.... Then I submerged it... And here we are. :D

Oh there will be some mods all right
I know what you mean. Tacomaworld definitely gave me the modification bug. I told myself this go round I would get my brand new Nissan frontier and keep it stock for the optimum reliability and gas mileage. That lasted not very long at all.

Jealous. I’m looking at replacing rear shocks at the moment. Truck has RCs on there now and just want to get rid of them. Likely will be next year though.
