I jokingly named my motorcycle after my ex's twin sister. Lots of opportunities ride-related jokes.

Manager at the farm supply comped one of the items I was purchasing...
When I was loading the truck I caught the cashier's mistake and brought back an item that wasn't on the receipt to pay for it and they were super grateful.

    Can't complain about freebies :D

    .
Couple years ago I got a free 6 in 1 screwdriver from the hardware store because I pointed in the direction that a shoplifter ran.

Parked my truck and saw this dude run by me across the lot, didn't think much of it until the manager came out and asked me which way he went. At the register he said he appreciated my help and gave me the screwdriver lol

I always wonder if they just deal with shitty people all day. It was a no brainer for me to go back and pay, I was gonna go back in to drop off the cart anyways :notsure:

I'm sure you didn't have to think twice about helping in that kind of situation

Bought myself 2 gallons of ISO 32 hydraulic fluid AKA shitbox power steering fluid :burp:

ATF is NOT the correct fluid for hydraulic assist systems or aftermarket power steering pumps according to TG and PSC

Yeah not at all, if I had known he was shoplifting when he was running by I would have innocently aquainted him with my bumper.

Places like Ace are all franchised and independently owned so it is definitely shittier to shoplift there. People think they're just hurting a corporation that can absorb the cost and not some Grandpa Paul who just wants to grill and provide good customer service

There's a lot of crappy humans out there, and retail people get to deal with them all day long. I think they appreciate a little support.

Yup. I always try to be extra nice to those working in retail for this reason.

Maybe not extra nice, but, like, just nice? And easygoing? And maybe patient too.

I don't know why people lose their shit on the cashier when the computer is slow. Or the item isn't in the system. Or the line was too long. 99 pct of the time they are just doing their best and something out of their control goes wrong and then Karen and Connor just go apeshit because they have no concept of patience or understanding and have inflated self importance

Sometimes I wish real life had save points like video games. Could have a whole lot more fun at cash registers.

Yup exactly. Extra nice in the store seems to just add up to being kind in general with how shitty people are usually.
