Hello Tacomaworld community, I live in Los Angeles CA, I’m in the prosees of getting a new Tacoma, either the Pro or 4x4 off-road.
But dealers in the my area are crazy, I got a quote of $15,000 on top of the MSRP for a TRD Pro ($67,001 + fees)
They said it’s because of high demand.
Are there any dealers that would sell a new Tacoma based on the MSRP?
I’m not willing to pay that much.

Thanks in advance for any information you might have.

You can come out St. Louis and buy from me! We don’t upcharge, that’s a California thing

California is hell to buy, own, and register vehicles it seems.

I wouldn't pay over suggested retail. I would recommend an offroad model with premium tech package. They are very similar and you can modify the suspension later to your liking.

No way in Hell. You can make a deal online, fly out and drive it home MUCH cheaper.

But I’ll keep you in mind, do you know anyone that can bring the car to California?

Thanks for the quick response, I notice the 4x4 off-road with premium package comes to be even more than the Pro model.

You can have the dealer arrange shipping, or get custom quotes on a site called Uship. It makes sense to buy in a different state if the one you live has massive markups. Paying $800-1000 for car transport and saving $14,000 is a good deal in my book.

Freeman Toyota in Santa Rosa CA sells pros for MSRP (that's where I got mine), but it's quite a drive from LA.

Buy out of state and just have it shipped to you. That's what I did, found a killer deal on the opposite end of the country.

yes, and they are easy to deal with. Many SoCal customers fly into Santa Rosa and drive back down.
