Appreciate it! I'll switch to 110 for the rear and get that...oddly but aptly named pump. I'll see how much it'll be to get Toyota Fluids here. If that's too expensive, should I get MTF specifically?

Quantities check out? I just don't wanna come up short. I guess really it's just the ATF, as that sounds more variable especially if you do multiple cycles.

Yes on the quantities. I didn't think the rear diff would take the full amount, pumping and pumping! Seems the front takes darn near every bit of two quarts, but it comes up shy. So you will have a partial. The AT is the only unknown to me. Maybe get two gallons, drain and fill twice.

The MTF will do great in the TC, protect better and function just fine. I've been throwing it in and out 4x4 wheeling all over. The HUGE advantage of the Toyota juice for the TC is that one can is a liter and that should fill it. USA Amsoil qts..........well QTS are not liters. So you'll need two qts (still less than the Toyota fluid) and bunch left over. https://www.amsoil.com/p/manual-synchromesh-transmission-fluid-5w-30-mtf/?zo=515729

Make sure you use 515729 if prompted for a reference number. Thanks!

Thank you! I'll order tomorrow after I check other fluids to see if I need any top offs.

I would like to pick your brain on this for the sig series vs XL boosted. I actually switched from sig series to the boosted version. I think my reasoning was Amsoil rates the boosted better at shearing protection, which I could have interpreted that wrong. If you are not trying to push longer oil intervals, do you still think the sig series is better? My truck is boosted so it is under a bit more stress than a NA motor. I did get a sample of the sig series oil, so I will get another sample with the xl boosted once I change my oil again but just curious what you think.

Sig series is better, pretty shear stable. At 3K-5K mile interval it will not make much difference though. The UOA's while only a sample of one (trend is the thing) should be interesting.

I had asked the same question and if you swing it the Sig would be the way to go just has a higher premium. Just depends on our shorter windows how much better. I plan to get Sig transmission fluid at least. Not sure I am sold on the engine oil just yet when you can get some others at a fraction of the cost even if you change it every few thousand. Curious to see what you find out. I was considering the XL until it was noted the Sig hands down is better. But is it better then say mobile 1 or a other synthetic at 5k intervals.

I have been running the XL in other vehicles for awhile too. This is what I do, I am a preferred customer so I get better price than non preferred. I buy my oil by the case (12 quarts) then I go for the larger oil filter than stock replacement. Also their performance enhancer gas additive is pretty damn good. If you have other vehicles it helps offset the cost of signing up for the membership.

Yah I had That for awhile. It’s great and helps with the cost. Las time I bought a case then changed my gearing and diff oil weight and kept getting dirt cheap deals on oil but want to get back on the Amsoil train. it’s worth it if you buy bulk for sure.

I was looking at that additive. Maybe I’ll give that a try. I was going to pick up sig trans oil and some steering fluid. On the fence for oil. Which filter did you get? The wix or amsoil?

Trust that additive is worth it 100%. I get the Amsoil EAO34 filter. It's the same size as a 51516 filter.

Nice maybe I’ll give that a go eventually. I always seem to find a deal on 10 Toyota filters for $40 which is hard to pass up.

Damn now I want to try the additive. Just ordered last week though. What's it actually do for the truck?

I'd say surprisingly the truck gets better mpg. Usually only on the tank you fill it up with though. But for me I feel like my truck stopped pinging once I started using this stuff which could be 100% coincidence but for only needing to add it every 5k it's a no brainer for me. I even add their little bottles every now and then, I think the "upper cylinder lubricant" which I think is like a toned down version that you can use every fill up.

nice! Yeah I had it before. Baller since it had expired auto-renew its even cheaper. Just picked up some Sig Trans, Sig Trans (for steering), and a case of that fancy fuel additive @Murphinator was chatting up.

Delivery was quick. Didn’t get oil but picked up The rest. Curious about the fuel additive.

@Pablo8, thanks again for the help. The stuff got here like 2 days after I ordered and the grease has already been applied to some Dobinsons greasable bolts in my leaf packs.

Could that same grease be used for ball joints on SPC UCAs? SPC specifically mentions a lithium-based grease with 3-5% moly. I didn't see either of those elements listed on the Amsoil grease or spec sheets. I've got a cannister of valvoline but don't wanna waste grease cleaning out my gun.

If they specifically want a moly grease use the off road grease https://www.amsoil.com/p/synthetic-polymeric-off-road-grease-nlgi-1-gpor1/?zo=515729

Finally getting around to this, life had other ideas a while back.

MTF fluid for the T Case, everything else as spec'd, shouldn't need the heavier oil for the rear diff, since I'm driving a Sport (open) right?
