Fox 2.0 Coilover IFP and rear 2.0 Remote Reservoir review

Where can I find the 2.5 up front instructions?

 

You don’t need spacers. Just crank up the 2.0’s (driver’s 2 turns over pass). I have spelled it out in previous posts. Read bruh; otherwise, pm Mully bc he cranked his up hardcore like a boss. Back to Dr work. (But seriously, I have spelled out what to do for what you want. Go ahead and plan for light racing ucas bc you’ll be at the max).

I am curious what my rear lift height will be after installing the 1.5 Icon Progressive AAL kit.....planning on removing the overload spring.

Would like somewhere between a 2-2.5 inch leveled lift.

 

Keep the overload if you are going with 2-3” shocks. That will get you where you want to be bruh. You won’t be high enough wo it.

 

Roger that. I'd imagine I'll need a spacer for the taco lean as well.

Okay Dr. Chase, after sitting on my couch for what seems a lifetime reading this thread...I have come to the conclusion that this kit is exactly what I need. You obviously have what seems the most experience with this set up so I just want to recap on what I’ll need and you can tell me if I’m messed up.
-Fox 2.0 coil overs (adjust driver 3 full turns to accommodate driver lean)
- Fox 2.0 rear shocks with Remote Reservoir and CD adjusters
- wheelers Progressive AAL (this is the part I’m struggling the most to understand purpose and advantage)
- to remove or to not remove the overload leaf? Why why not?
- roost guard for the rear shock that is behind the axle
- anything else?
Lastly I have a set of 285/75/16’s layin in the garage, I understand I will have to do a Body mount chop and fender trimming, otherwise is there any other measures I need to be concerned about to safely run those tires?

Hey man, I’ve been straight slammed! Just seeing your post.
Yes on everything except:
Roost guard is in front of the axle
Overload included will just increase lift by .25” and provide a backup if you overload ... never been a problem for me
Lastly, running those 285’s is all about the wheel spacing. If you’re running factory wheel’s you need 1” wheel spacers and 6turns up on driver’s and 3 on passenger’s. You can get away with removing the front flaps and fender trimming. The chop will only be necessary if you plan to wheel the S out of it, granted you get a scrub here and there, but not bad aka my wife’s silver Taco with 285 nitto AT’s.

Update-

Somehow the Icon 3 leaf progressive AAL w/overload left in netted me almost 3 inches of lift in the rear?

We had to crank up the front 2.0 coilovers just to get the front level with the rear and the ride was pretty stiff.

Pulled the overload out the rear and lowered down the front coilovers a bit and the ride is much smoother.

Don't have official measurements yet but it should be closer to 2-2.5 inches of lift now and I personally like it much more with my 265/75/16's.

Anyone one have a pic of how low your reservoir is mounted to the shock body?

I think my shop installed them too high up which caused the hose line to have a bend which ultimately got pinched

 

I have mine mounted just as high as yours. After doing some full compression tests on the rear end I noticed the reservoir would hit the axles.
Moving them up that high is one way to prevent this or I've also seen some people rotate the shock around and cut a notch in the mounting cup to clear the hose.

But if you don't ever plan on doing some serious wheeling and fully tucking your back tires, you'll be fine moving that reservoir down.

 

Appreciate the info. That’s definitely why they mounted the reservoir up high as they thought it would hit.

The shop wants to do notches to clear the hose as opposed to lowering the reservoir. Is notching a risky thing to do?

I may just buy a frame mount kit for the reservoir if they make one?

 

I don't think a small notch would cause any harm. The area you would notch wouldn't be near any high stress areas.

 

So the shop ended up grinding down the overhanging part a bit and rotated the shock and reservoir a bit. Looks much better and plenty of clearance. I’ll throw up a pic tomorrow.

 

Just received the Fox 2.0 stock replacement - the lines are way too short to mount the resi on the frame, and it looks like any movement with the resi could hit the springs or tire. Wondering how the most recent version with super short lines are working out for folks? Also on if you face the resi towards the axle it will make contact for sure.

 

Interesting, haven't seen that 90deg elbow going to the hose before, doesn't even allow much wiggle room to mount the resi on the shock body. Even spinning the shock in the bucket won't give you room to attach to the frame? to me seems like the only option. In my mind trying to picture it on the DS for example you should be able to mount that with the resi pointed forward mounted on the frame.
