Custom Rem 700 .308 built by Short Action Customs

Up for sale is my back up .308 match rifle (Rhino dick) built by Mark at Short Action Customs. Rifle is built around a Trued Rem 700 Action and sitting in a McRees G7 chassis. The rifle has right at 600 rounds down the pipe and shoots well under .5 MOA. I have shot 168gr SMK hand loads out of it from day one and have bullets and brass if you are interested in buying what it loves.

The build sheet is in the photo's and I will separate the Chassis from the Barreled Action if needed. Price break down is below.

I love shooting .308, it keeps you honest. I'm selling it to build an ELR .22lr, shooting .22lr out to 500 yards is a different animal.

 

I hear that, well I do have some interest in your SAR, and maybe able to help fund your build.
I love my comp CZ 22lr. It’s butter and it does make you a better shooter.

Anyone happen to have a set of rear blocks laying around that they don’t want?

 

I have a question about blocks as well.... I have the eibach pro lift on the 2nd notch with a c4 low pro bumper on front. I'd like to bring it up to the third notch. I have a Aal in the back already. Would adding a block be an ok way to make the rear raise up with the front?

 

That’s more or less what I am trying to test. With the weight of my tent and rack I’m sagging about an inch or less.

 

Yes that will work, just need longer ubolts. If your shit is a flat as mine was, then upgraded springs are what’s needed.
But if your springs still have arch and your not hitting your bumps then yes, a block will get you back the rake you want.

 

Awesome. Yeah they arent worn out yet. I got the recall undated leaf pack from Toyota only three years ago and I dont carry a lot of weight

Right now my comp gun is a Anschutz 1416 and I just ordered a Bergara B14 R steal barrel. What .22 matches are you shooting in?

Yeah, I really enjoy shooting .22 at distance on a windy day and testing my wind reading skills.
