Tacoma Roof Rack 2021 - No one can verify...

    Afternoon,

    I am getting mixed answers to whether or not the OEM Toyota Roof Rack
    $352 PT278-35170 Roof Rack (Double CAB), 1 Pack, Black
    PT278-35170 will fit the new 2021’s...

    One dealer thinks it will and another says no. Searching online parts I get the “will not fit your model” notification.

    Anyone here put this on their new Taco?

    TRD Pro suspension with Headstrong 3 Leaf AAL, DV8 OR front slimline bumper & Engine Skid Plate, RCI OR high clearance bumper, CaliRaised Trail Edition Sliders, Spidertrax 1.25" Wheel Spacers, 265/75 16 GY Duratracs, wrapped the OEM wheels, OR Roof Rack, Extang Exceed Hard top Tri fold tonneau.
    There was an issue with the shark fin placement with the 2020's, I don't know if it extends to the 2021's or not.

    I'm fairly certain it will. The early 2020s had the shark fin placed where it interfered. Later production fixed it. I have it on my 20 OR and it just clears.

    I believe that is what happened too, once they changed mid-year it fixed the interference issue.

    That rack is garbage. Pay a bit more for something better or I will haunt you everytime you want to use it.

    FYI my dealer quoted me a 2 Hour install , cost $380 - crazy! YouTube videos look easy 30 minute tops.

    Yes,I installed the OEM rack on my 2008 Tacoma... easy install, just make sure you use automotive silicone on the bolts.

    Seal, as I was installing mine I figured why not add some silicone to the protruding bolts. It never leaked and I have read posts where the installer didn’t use silicone and eventually it leaked
