Sure, there is the possibility they do you a solid, but it will be out of the goodness of their hearts (and/or to avoid bad PR) rather than because they’re required to under the state Lemon Law, if I understand your situation correctly.

I can’t tell you how many posts I’ve seen on here regarding lemon laws and the person didn’t even know what the legal requirements were.

Got the truck with 25 miles, I know my truck does not meet the requirements but no reason to get a new truck and have it taken apart to fix it all I can do is ask for the moon and see what I get. I made sure the warranty was still good even if they don't buy it back. The lemon law review does not start until my truck is fixed and they get the service report from the dealership.

Well, don’t ask them to hurry. If you meet the 30 days your situation improves drastically.

Believe it or not that actually could help his argument.

Some states allow 3rd party claims against a business' insurance policy for any loss including in this case....diminished property value.

That is a crazy angle because the diminished value is not likely to exceed the $10k small claim limit.

I still am firmly on the side of let them repair it, but as I understand it, the lemon law threshold was pretty close to being met given the length of time it took to repair.

If lemon law applies to leases in his state.

Is it just me or is this a little weird? Does everyone who share similar issues with their Tacomas on TW become pen pals?
My vote is with the few who believe this is the OP.

If the issue was a broken valve spring, why would they remove the engine and transmission? You don't need to do that to remove a head at least not when I was doing that kind of work.

To answer a different question I don't think the 3.5 is a piece of garbage, but I have a feeling that this thread is turning into one.

I had a feeling a mod would stop by and put this to bed from a technical
perspective. I am assuming IP addresses and such.

All of a sudden TW is apparently full of stylometry experts. Yes, the forum inhabited mainly by people who can't use the search function, quickly turns into a bunch of Mensas who can easily root out nics by analyzing their writing style.

    Truly amazing.

He routinely capitalizes the second letter of each 3rd word of a sentence. He's a serial killer. Can't u see?

Did you ask for, and receive, anything beyond the work such as an extended warranty or car carrier full of ‘21 Pros?
