    Speaking of SUWA...

White lifted 4runner (the cookie cutter one we all know and love in UT) with a "Protect Wild Utah" sticker on the back. Ive seen a few similar situations around.

I wondered the same damn thing. Some people have an essay on their post.

    No, seriously?

Who knows, but given the vehicles we both drive, and who sells that sticker, something different than intended.

It's definitely gone. Got there on Saturday and it was a huge disappointment.

Did they leave the triangle?? Can't believe they would remove it to just leave a part of it.

Yup, that's what I do for my tacoma page. I'll swap some hashtags depending on trends but for the most part it stays the same.

I’m taking a 2 week trip out in the 4 corner state area starting this weekend. Plan on spending the majority of time driving and camping offroad (I’m trying to avoid saying the O word but that’s what I’m doing:rofl:). Are there any well known 24/7 monitored radio frequencies for emergencies? I don’t have a garmin in reach but a few ham radios. Looking to just print out a list of freqs and store a few copies in the truck

You have it all stored and then copy and paste? It makes sense.

They did. All there was left was the triangle metal piece and the triangular hole in the ground.

That’s the problem. These dude roll in, and take it. The photographer guy that saw them heard them say leave no trace. But they didn’t take it all, they left shit there. They are trashy just like the people they were bitching about. They just wanted to tear shit down.

A little change of topic here....

Been having a good experience going to Mark Miller in SLC. They've been way better to me than Karl Malone.
I was there earlier this week and showed the manager my peeling headlights. He was also concerned and email Toyota who was curious and it sounded like they wanted to see my headlights if I understood right. Anyway, long story short Toyota authorized the replacement of my headlights even though I am out of warranty. Pretty stoked about that!

I disagree the dudes who supposedly did it have been BASE jumping and hi-lining in the Lockhart basin and Indian creek area for quite awhile. A couple of them live in Moab. I think they saw the damage done by an illegal art installation and its subsequent visitation as a threat to an area they care dearly about and said fuck that. While they certainly didn’t rehab the site or do a great job of cleaning it up they were acting to protect the landscape from insta-douches and “me”-tubers in the way they knew how.
The unfortunate bit of the situation comes down to the DPS guys in my opinion, I wish they wouldn’t have gone off about the thing all over the web. Especially considering they disclosed how it was discovered via helicopter. When I find cool stuff wandering around the desert I take my pictures but don’t go blabbering on about it all over the web especially when I flew a fucking helicopter to it. Take your pic, talk about it, but minimize any distinguishable identifiable markings about it. It’s common sense and has been in practice for decades regarding Native American ruins.

Agreed on Mark Miller. We have gone to them for a handful of things, including wheels/tires for two vehicles. I've had only good experiences thus far.

yeah i thought the same: pretty ironic that the folks so eager to remove it were loosely quoted ranting about "trash in the desert" and "leave no trace" but actually still left a trace by leaving piece(s). kind of undercuts the argument and makes it feel like more of a "fuck you" than a righteous good deed for the sake of everyone.

i mean we all knew it was coming down the second reddit posted the coordinates — and it definitely would've snowballed worse if it stayed up — but idk, like it maybe probably should’ve been BLM’s call! it's not like they were unaware of the situation...

Agreed, I know of a lot of places down in southeastern Utah that little to no one knows about and i'm keeping it that way as long as possible. Too many idiots now a days, this whole situation proves it.
