It’s a blank canvas. Just think of all the joy and happiness ahead. Don’t think about all the money leaving your pocket :spending::rofl:

Front brakes? Go ahead and do 10-15' 460 calipers, rotors and pads (pads are same between 470 & 460). If it's the rear brakes they are the same as the 460, no upgrade needed there.

My google-fu seems to be failing. Does anyone make, commercially, a spare tire holder that clamps into the 3rd row seat spot? I recall once seeing something on ih8mud but can't find it now. But I think that was homemade.

The pads and rotors are almost brand new. So maybe in the future.

I finally searched for the correct term "gx 470 3rd row seat spare tire" and found this on ih8mud. Shouldn't be too hard to fab something up. Maybe I can get @01Tac0ma to make me something.

Damn that looks like it takes up most of the rear space. When I go off camping for even a quick overnighter, I use most of that rear space so I cant imagine losing it to a tire. I think its @w.adventures that has his tire in the rear, but standing up straight and locked in tight there in the back along the side.

The pic I posted is made to stand up and off to the side. It locks into the 3rd row seat bracket.

Takes up so much space. Only option for me is to get a swingout bumper. I don’t want the tire mounted on the weak door. Plus I want to be able to carry scepter fuel can and propane tank.

I'll end up doing the same style of swing out bumper...

My EXACT dilemma as well. The only real problem solver I see is a swing-out at this point. I am trying sooo hard not to outfit this truck with bumpers and such, but its getting hard to resist the urge.

Maybe in the future if I want to do some real Broverlanding (aka camping). But not having kids, there's less stuff I have to carry back there. Cause I can always fold the back seats down if I need more room. Plus I'm cheap (aka poor). :D

I really wish I could get a “slimline” with a center swingout, I don’t want a full rear bumper I think they all look hideous shy of the coastal since it retains some of the oem bumper to make it cleaner looking. Everyone makes the swing outs offset to one side and I have no idea why.

That's one thing with the GX I have had to get used too... lack of space. Ive become somewhat of a Tetris expert at this point only because of all the shifting and turning I do with the gear as I load it up for a trip. Definitely have had to lower the middle seats a few times too. haha

Preachhhhhhh. Still looking for a good hybrid bumper too. I enjoy the "plain" look of the truck , so if I can retain as much of that as I can, ill do it.

I'd love to find a center sitting, scissor style swing out where I can have a hammock off the bumper...

I've seen some custom ones out there that only square cutouts are made to the factory bumper and a swingout is welded on.
