Curious on the new logo. I’d be down fir an all black logo may make it all black anyway. Are thru changing that design? I was digging it. Did you get a custom tag inside you tent like roaming lost? @mac_2_nite

 

You won't see a mileage improvement by making the truck heavier and less aerodynamic.

 

definitely want all black logo or gunmetal. And if possible black or gunmetal latches instead of the blue. But the blue is part of their brand identity so

 

out of curiosity, how does the 6’ X-1 compare to your old GFC weight-wise? tbh i expected this to be a little heavier, but 300lbs must be about the same..?

I think those latches on the back are blue for sure. But that little bit is clean. We prob need to wrap or dip the handles they def need to be black for me. I dig that logo but an all black or full metal would be clean

 

The full size Ram version is around 300. He said the short bed may be 20-30 less. So it’s pretty close to GFC slightly heavier but lighter than vagabond. I believe GFC is 270-290.

Yep, I asked for it but didn’t double check my invoice. So, I’ll be doing a door swap later on, we’ll see how easy that ends up being.

Haven’t checked in the tent yet for a tag, I’ll be driving until midnight or so and let you know then lol. I will say the tent is much nicer and designed better than either of the GFC tents I had (gen I and II)

I am going to take care of the latch blacking myself, it sticks out but isn’t terrible

Feels identical as far as highway handling and weight. I picked up the x-1 frame with doors and no tent, it was fucking insanely light. I’d wager this is within 10lbs of a GFC, and I took mine off several times so I know that wasn’t as light as they claimed.

I contest this, but really it doesn’t matter. X-1 feels the same so far. When I get it off road I will know a little more.

I like the way the handles look in the picture. Needs SOME contrast. All black is tasteless imo.

nice if yours says #12 then the tracker we have (with the other on the other tab) we have accounted for i think all of the X1's in existence so far.

 

@Coop68 your date likely will be close to ours. if we can try to rally a trip at the same time. If they can handle 4 of us at once. =p

 

Haha their shop space cannot handle 4, and I would hope they have yours done done by the time you get there. I had to wait a few hours, and I still have some pieces here and there that weren’t ready and will be shipped to me. 4 of you is going to be a real party!

 

i would maybe bet they might make both at the same time but i could see having a staggered date by a couple weeks or month maybe wont know till we both get the call

 

it appears there must be a carwash nearby because everyones trucks going in are CLEAN hahaha
