    You’ll be chopping the frame from the cab forward, building new rear cross members, and boxing the frame out back to do it right anyway. It seems like you have a lot of ideas for a sas build - I’d check good sas builds rather than asking the general thread members that have no knowledge of this stuff. It really just requires you to research. What skills do you possess as a fabricator - you’re in for a lot of incurred cost with a fab shop if you’re not proficient in welding and fabricating.

    Can't help you, but I really hope you pull it off. Would be pretty awesome to see the build process. Good Luck.

    WOW
    Hats off to you.
    I wouldn't have the balls to build out my almost new Taco with a new drivetrain.

    But I'm sure willing to watch you do it!

    Build thread for sure!!!!!

    I’m all for cool swaps. But, when someone comes in posting like this, asking a bunch of people who have obviously never swapped a different motor into a 3rd Gen how to brace up the frame, he’s probably lacking the skill set needed to pull this off. Not to mention he named like 5 parts and asked what he’s missing? A lot.

    My apologies man! We get do get trolls from time to time, and the word "diesel" is a trigger around these parts,,, for reasons unknown to me.
    I'm looking forward to seeing the transformation.

    So he should fail because of this?

    We ALL started from square one.

    I, for one, like and support his ambition.

    Seems to me like everyone who is wishing ill on his build are just jealous that they;
    a) don’t have the balls
    b) don’t have the funds
    c) don’t have the mechanical skills
    d) lack the imagination

    Yes we all started from square one. But you don’t start from square one asking a forum how to put a 6bt in a Tacoma and not offer up any info on your experience or past builds that give any shred of hope that you’d have the mechanical skill or knowledge to do the swap. Believe me, I’ve been on car forums for 15 years and have seen this type of post countless times. 99/100 times they go nowhere.

    I wish everyone the best in their projects, and if this guy actually follows through I’d gladly enjoy the build thread read. We shall see.
