Any of y'all have any input on decoys? They seem to be getting fired up around home (2nd hand info of course cuz in stuck at work till noon tomorrow) I've got one by primo and the head is on a hook and is supposed to sway back and forth in the breeze but that's a lie. I thought about running a line from it to my stand to give it a bit more action. Just trying to figure out if I wanna run it buck or doe

Bucks may be too intimidating...unless the big head honcho is around. 0ne buck i tried a mature buck grunt and he took off opposite way

I did for many years. Then I stepped up to a 25-06. I shot my buck this year with my 270wsm. The only reason I quit hunting with my .243 was because it was my first hunting rifle that my dad got me and I want to keep it in good condition to hand down to my son one day.

I'm guessing that if those two pics are digital you can probably find someone who can make all of that into one printable sheet using some software. Probably take some who knows what they're doing like 5 minutes to do.

I'd start a thread in Photography or Technology and see what you get. I'll bet someone would do it.

I may try to figure it out myself, if I can print one pic on the left half and somehow print the other pic on the right half of a page.

However, it seems with my printer, it is always upper left corner when I downsize a pic.

Do you have a link to the photography thread? I looked, but not sure exactly where to look.

    THANKS!!

You can also make a "Collage" using your computer or your phone, just practice a little to get the photos placed right, here is a (poor) example I did on my phone a few minutes ago. (Download the "Pixlr" app)

My wife carried our son this afternoon while I worked at the store. A spike came in at 120 yards right before dark. He shot it with his .243 and dropped it. She said it laid there for a minute then got up and ran off. They found some blood where it was and that was it.

I got a friend of mine who’s as good of tracker as I am and he and I and Cole went back over there when my wife and son got back so she could work.

We found nothing else other than the blood where it got knocked down. It was sorta dark blood and almost looked like it had some bubbles in it.

Cole got to experience the highs and lows of hunting at 8 years old tonight. I told him don’t worry about it, it happens. I sure do hate it for him though.

You aren't giving up that easily are you?? Go back tomorrow in daylight and look farther....concentric circles, zig zag, something.

    Good luck!

I’ll go back and look some more, unfortunately it won’t be until Saturday.

You allowed to use tracking dogs?? Probably won't help if you can't get back til Saturday, though.

    Still, good luck.
