I forgot that the internet judges all who decide to post.. The girl wanted to take pictures and she started to move things because "its not camping things". My friend was cooking the pancakes and spoiling her perfect camping photo. How dare he come to camp without the proper plaid shirt? I told him "move out the picture, you dont look like camping". At this point, I gently wedged this beautiful american made axe into the already rotted and split wood. And I said to the girl "Is this camping enough for you?". Gentlemen, as much as I hate Instagram influencers and their strange photo compositions, this is how you make women happy. So the answer to your question is, yes, I like my estwing camping axe. It's made in the amazing USA and it looks like camping for her photos

I have had my Fiskars/Gerber chopping, not splitting, axe for the last 14 years. I have used the snot out of it, lost it in the snow one winter, found it the next year, dusted it off, and continued using it. That axe is as reliable as my AK and I do not go on any trip with out the two of them. If I only got three items to go into the woods with it would be; my AK, my axe, and my 550 survivor cord. I have no experience with the Estwing axe, but I am gonna shamelessly promote my fiskars.

I really like mine, it is a mix between a boys axe and a hatchet. I like that its small enough to not be cumbersome but still big enough to split wood and do small camp chores.

I can not say. I don't geotag or post where my pictures are from. Sounds like you know good hunting spots though.

I can appreciate that. Alot of the "secret" spots are getting overrun and trashed in OR, especially with everyone moving here nowadays. Nice pic dude

My experience with Fiskars and Gerbers has been really good too. But I'm kind of a sucker for made in USA tools.
