Is there another panel/trim ring I’m supposed to get that goes around the cruise control stalk?

 

Perhaps someone with a truck that has cruise control can post a pic of what theirs looks like...?

This guy I went to high school with owns a 2010 DCSB TRD OR; In a bizarre twist of fate he ended up being one of my supervisors during the ten months I worked at car dealer detail shop...

He’s a great guy! Anyway, I texted him while I was waiting for responses on my other thread about the guitar control trim piece, and asked him see what the cruise control assembly on his truck looked like; This is what he sent me...

 

Can I get the trim piece at the dealership or is it only available as part of the steering whole wheel assembly

 

This guy is a Vietnam veteran, and he and his wife are the original owners of the house; They’ve been putting up these decorations in one form or another for the last forty years! The house is something of a local landmark!

 

I'm not friendiss with the guy in the sense that I know his name (seriously, I don't), but if it's a nice day and I see him outside doing yard work or something while I'm driving by I will stop and chat; I asked him tonight if his electric bill was higher than his mortgage payment...

He told me it was not for the following reasons...

• The spotlights are LED, so they're quite cheap to run.
• The house was built in 1977 and he and his wife are the original owners; The house has been paid off for over a decade!

 

I have two relatives who paid cash for their houses, but I only have one relative who mortgaged their house and lived in it long enough to pay off the mortgage; I have no friends who have lived in a house long enough to pay it off!

Remember the "biohazard" Tacoma that I found in a friend's salvage yard in September 2019 and bought some interior pieces from in January 2020? I'm going to buy what's left of the interior for spare parts! That door panel was easy to clean, so the dashboard and steering wheel should be even easier! My dad said he'd be fine with me buying the cab if we had space to put it...

 

No; It may have had them installed aftermarket, but the front bumper was destroyed...

check with your dealer first, but id order it online personally. my dealer said they didnt have that part number in the system. they could have just been idiots

The banker's secret..yup. Even when we first moved in here and needed to do a lot of work we tried to put at least an extra $75 or so a month to principle extra. Now we try to do several hundred a month..especially important since we are older
