Looking at how small the space is on the Tundra around the fender inside the boxes can you imagine what the inside area is going to be like on the Tacoma? Again what a waste.

Agreed, the design seems to lack any of those hard, level cutouts where you can add 2x4s and carry sheet goods.

My 2021 has the bed storage. I just pulled them this weekend. Not for me and wish I would have passed on them, but no real issue to get them out.
Not sure if they all leak, but mine did. Filled them with jumper cables, tools, rain coat and gloves only to have them all get soaked the first time it rained. There is limited storage, mine leaked even after I made sure they were shut and locked.
Pulled 'em out, stored them in the garage attic, grabbed my old cooler and worn out $19.99 "rubbermaid tote"... Cold drinks and dry storage for a lot less $$$. So folks may like the bed storage, but I personally wouldn't recommend them.

Lots of gatekeepers in this thread. If you don’t like them, don’t buy them. If they stop selling, they’ll stop offering.

I don't think you have a choice, think they come standard on the Trail Edition.

I’m sure you can just ask the dealer to remove them like tailgate letter inserts. Maybe you don’t a discount but the dealers might get fed up of the request.

Does the trail package come with anything of worth that you can’t buy cheaper aftermarket?

I may be one of the few that like these, but I just got to thinking... are these even made for the long bed? or is this a short bed only option.

Hard pass here. Can’t see it bein’ functional come Winter. As reported if they leak, they’ll freeze shut. Won’t see what’s in there til Spring.

its cool and all, but how dust, dirt and sand proof is it? not to mention why wouldnt they just add it further into the bed? We already dont have enough room in the bed as it is.
