Anyone happen to know of any good places to get off road around the LaCrosse (or just east of LaCrosse) area? Not looking for rock climbing or anything like that but a bit more than a dirt road?

No, I haven't. I haven't been able to find a solid map/directions for it. I never even knew about it until about 2 months ago.

We went to clam lake then stopped. I’d guess the part north of there is decent being by the lake, just ran out of hours to go all the way and still drive home.

Yeah, Clam lake is as far north as I got as well. I ran south from Clam lake and then had to go home and cry after FR327.

I'm thinking about driving up to Point Detour on a Friday next spring and spending the night. Probably run down to Clam lake and the head somewhere to camp Saturday night, then drive home Sunday. Probably do some fishing along the way.

Just getting caught up here. Geesh, I don't check TW for a day and I have pages and pages to get caught up on.

Ronny Dahl has an excellent video series about taking a stock Hilux off road and slowly making mods as needed.

This is the 4th or 5th in the series. It's been fun to watch

    Only legal stuff
@Jensen518109 I ran 275/70 17 on stock suspension for a while. Only thing I had to do was remove mud flaps, and an easily removable piece of plastic in the front wheel well. I did have some very minor rubbing at full deflection left/right and going up humps like a driveway.

Hey guys! From Muskego here. I have trolled this forum looking for ideas for the past months or so looking at endless posts about rims and wheels.

    I have a 2010 stock 4cyl sr5 regular cab 4x4.

I found a guy from illinois selling me 2020 TRD rims for $850 with only 1000 miles on the tires at 265 70 16's. Hoping that will be a good tire for my truck. Scared to go big since I do 60 miles of interstate driving a day.

Curious if anyone can give me any suggestions of a shop I could go take my truck to. I was going to get a Wrangler but can't bring myself to get rid of my little manual truck so I have a few grand to put into modding it finally. I am not a wrench and I have a friend who is a garage mechanic but he's never done a lift so wondering if I should be taking it into a specialty shop or is it easy enough to let him try.

I actually think I saw someone from on here a few days ago in oak creek in a khaki, beautiful crew cab that was all loaded out. :)

    Anyways nice meeting ya'll

    J

Have a mod day with some people willing to pitch in and lend you a hand. You'll definitely learn a thing or two for sure.

I'm just south of the border and wouldn't mind a mod day

Reg cab 4x4s are awesome! Fwiw don't ever trade it against a Wrangler. You'll hate the Fiat.

Welcome to spending money, I mean TW,,,, And I was going to say the 265's should fit without a lift.
