Photos from the latest trip, as usual I didn't take pictures of half of it. Shitbox made it 1300 miles without issue. I think my axle fix is holding up but my bed is too rusted and the bedrail supports are to far gone for them to last much longer. Still up in the air if I want to just swap to a good bed and use my cross supports or just build one.

Started off downhilling at Tamarack messed around in the jump park before calling it a day.

A wildfire altered the original plans of camping at a trophy trout lake that had a somewhat technical trail to it. We camped a little further to the north and Brett and I hiked to another trophy lake. Brett landed the first fish of the trip. Cool lake and worth the steep uphill hike to get there.IMG_20200823_193210.jpg IMG_20200823_194122.jpg IMG_20200823_203057.jpg

I'm not all that impressed with my Pixel 3xl camera compared to my older S7 but it'll do.
    PANO_20200825_163126.vr.jpg IMG_20200825_154510.jpg
Brett determined to catch the fish that broke him off the night before.

    IMG_20200827_084015.jpg

This was the only technical trail of the trip and it ended up being a bit more difficult than what I was expecting. It started off with some obstacles that would keep out stock vehicles then became steep, loose and wet with large boulders.

    IMG_20200827_160139.jpg

Brett debating on whether or not to submit an offer on the 300k rustic cabin in Montana... not really

Brett taking the "hard" line and literally sliding between a rock and a hard place. We attempted to winch him over the boulder but ended up snapping his fancy winch rope. Hopefully this was a manufacturing defect as I don't believe a winch should be able to snap the line that's on it. The easier option ended up being just backing up and let the rear bumper do what it was meant to do.

    IMG_20200827_175856.jpg

Leo high centered on a rock requiring a pull from Brett.
    IMG_20200827_174505.jpg
Leo again high centered and needing some rock stacking to get off of this one. Poor spotting on my part.

    IMG_20200827_181623.jpg

Apparently this driver knows what hes doing since the Shitbox with bald tires didn't need any recoveries.
    IMG_20200827_172940.jpg

The lakes were worth the struggle.

Great trip with awesome fishing! Many of the waters I hope to return to with a bit more time.

Still haven't given my truck a good once over since the trip I've been to busy hunting. I know I've killed the lower shock bushing I put in 2 years ago. Other than that I've been praying that no more cracks are showing up!

First year archery hunting elk was a success! IMG_20200917_174425.jpg
I'll need to figure something else out next time for the head but it worked.

@Digiratus, @cynicalrider, @Squeaky Penguin what were the extended and collapsed numbers on the ADS coilovers? Starting to research and Fox are the only dimensions I can find right now. Per accutune: 20.040 Extended and 14.55 collapsed

I do not have any info on collapsed length. And only know the extended length because I measured them.

This is from the top of the tophat.

Yes, by almost 3/4" and they met Kings spec for extended travel according to Tim. Lol.

Yes. The moisture makes it pretty difficult. I made it with bald front tires so you might be able to get away with only 1 and some fresh meats. I think we all were double locked at one point or another though. Not really any place to turn around once you start that climb though. I thought it was a really fun trail and would definitely do it again. I imagine it changes quite a bit from year to year.

At some point I'd like to plan a trip and bring my kayak along to put in at these incredible lakes and spend more than a day's time at them. Another lake in WY I'd like to do that on also.

I have about 30 trails pins in MT to go check out.

One that I would have recommended while you were there was Middle Fork. I guess the FS is changing it a lot. It originally is about 1/2 in a creek and rivers and stuff. Looked super cool but I guess they are making a new path to get vehicles out of the water...which makes sense. But still.

If you're up for a hike(no wheeling) there is a lake near me that has the purest strain of golden trout in the area. It's a hell of a hike though.

Still haven't caught one of those, there are a few lakes near me that are stocked with them but no luck catching a golden. I'm down for a hike and if it's difficult great! It's nice to challenge myself physically instead of just challenging the truck sometimes.

yeah they don't stock this one it's self sustaining. They actually pull fish from it to stock other lakes.

It's a huff, but super beautiful and worth it.

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
That was a fun trail for sure. Would love to hit it again. Maybe a little drier though. Amanda thought we were going to die at one point but that was the first super technical trail she had been on.

I'll see if I can dig through my emails from them and see if they say. Works been hectic so it might take me a while.
