Update: Here are some pics. I know you guys have seen stock ORs before, but my (the wife's truck...how did that happen?) truck doesn't really exist unless it has been posted, right? ;)

Greetings from Ohio to all of TacomaWorld.

New Taco on the way and I have spent more hours than I can count researching mods for a truck I don't have yet.

What's it going to be like once the thing arrives?

This is a great site. Thanks for having me. ;)

Welcome. You should get a lift and 33" tires on order. And an ARB bumper with some lights. No reason to delay...

Welcome. I just got my tacoma approx 3-4 weeks ago. Ive done nothing yet as far as upgrades. I am making a plan as to how to do everything and when I wanna do it.

I'm planning 3 in lift. 33 in tires, grill craft grill with Hella 500s behind them, n-fab steps and more window tint.

Not sure yet on horsepower mods but im sure there will be some...

    Thanks for the welcome, guys.

Right now I'm looking at 1.75" lift (5100s all around) with 265 75/16 tires. Maybe AAL in the rear depending on how it sits.

I have 5 TRD black beadlocks in the basement but I'll likely wait until spring to mount them. Also have a set of running boards, bed extender and a hood protector. Had to buy something to kill some time waiting for delivery.

    Two weeks to go...

Congrats on the new truck BryWi. I hate the waiting game. Mine was supposed to be in last weekend, but the dealer called on Friday afternoon and informed me it would not be till the end of the month now.

    ISU grad05,

Yeah, I have been through that, too. The original date was November 24th. Now it is December 20th.

We'll see if that one pans out.

I'm driving THEIR car (my trade-in) until then.

    Hopefully yours arrives as promised.

Maybe you will get lucky. Mine was supposed to take 4 to 6 months and I got it in around 6 weeks.

Congrats! I am also waiting on my 2011. Got a friend at Toyota. I want a access cab sport. They don't usually have a lot of trucks at his dealership so I looked at the trucks at another dealer. Decided what I wanted and he is getting it for me $300 over cost. One of the other dealers I looked at offered me a better deal on a TRD Off Road. Kind of stuck now, it was after I ordered the truck. It was at the end of November, they wanted to move the truck.I guess they don't offer many insentives because the trcuks sell themselves. Live and learn.

You're scaring me a little.

But I think the fact I have a signed deal and I am driving their car will "motivate" them to deliver it sooner than later.

    At least I hope.

I see you have got the "mod" thing down. No wasting any time with a 2011. Looks like a nice rig. Pics??

    Joe De--

Funny, I had to order the off-road, I guess because I wanted the bluetooth/JBL package. The sport was available in the trim I wanted.

That was a tough decision: hood scoop, color-matching bumpers or straight hood, chrome and some additional off-road options.

I still like them both but you can only make ONE decision.

    Enjoy your new truck...

    Joe,

Went with the off-road. As much as I liked the scoop, I wanted the extra off-road goodies. I like the chrome accents as well. They will fit well with the wheels I have for summer.

Will I use the goodies? Who knows. But I'll have them anyway.

Couldn't have gone wrong either way.

This was my exact thoughts when I ordered. When you order O/R package, you get the Elocker rear diff, ATRAC (all wheel traction control), downhill assist, all of which can not be added later. So I ordered the O/R and just put the sport hood on it. Got the best of both! And I prefer the chrome bumper.

Adding the hood scoop is a great idea. I think it may be an issue of color-matching for me, though, with Silver mica.

It looks damn good with your black

    Great-looking truck.

Nah, easy! If you have it done, just tell the shop to blend into the fenders IF they need to. Mine, being black and brand new, no blending was necessary.
