Fellow parents, did anyone else’s wives go crazy during the nesting faze? So far my wife has got and hung pictures in our bedroom and asked tor a new entertainment center and cleaned out the closet of clothes we don’t wear and organized the closet. Anything else I should expect during the faze?

    2020 RAV4 Hybrid LE
In the process of moving to Sumter/Columbia area from Arizona. Looked a little into wheeling in the southeast but recently got rid of my Taco for a RAV4 Hybrid (I know I know). A few questions:
I’ll mostly be using the RAV4 to access hunting and fishing areas. How much dedicated offroading is necessary to achieve this? I have no issues hoofing it in and out of areas as well. It has a good AWD system, quality tires, and an experienced driver behind the wheel. Just trying to get to trailheads. Nothing too crazy.

Also what does the local market in SC look like for used Toyota 4x4s? Depending on the feedback from the last question, I may be in the market for a cheap beater truck to haul around a small boat and use for hunting. Like older 1st gen tacos, 4x4 pickups, T100s, 1st gen tundras, etc. If I can get by without one, the RAV with a small utility/boat trailer should meet my needs.

Thanks everyone and look forward to getting their soon!

SC DNR is pretty good with keeping their managed areas accessible for most vehicles, I don't see why you wouldn't be okay in your RAV4 if you're sticking to those kind of areas. Hunting leases may be a different story.. kinda depends on the land owner there. Plenty of boat ramps around Columbia for Lake Murray.. I can't really say I'm too familiar with with the river launches though.

I was looking at cargurus.com and 4x4 DCSB 2015's are still selling for almost 30k. Go back to around 2010 or earlier and they start getting closer to 10-12 grand.

You wont do much with that here, mud and such will be your achillies not ground clearance.

Market? lol, expect any of those listed to be mid teens around here.

I like my hilux snorkel. 674D19B0-FBEC-49EE-95AB-B64B41F1C3AF.jpg
I had the opposite feelings. I snorked mine so I could escape my neighborhood during storms and be able to get to work.
