Is Minwax good or look for another brand? Home Depot has Varathane.

Yup, finished it up in the end of October for the most part. Got the main deck/stairs done but wasn't able to finish building the back stairs. I never use them anyways so it can wait until spring.

You just can't go anytime you want. You have to wait until the weather, updraft is just right.

It seems like it's just like flying a kite.

Maybe I'm getting old and less tolerant of stupidity. Maybe it's the state of the world where nobody wants to speak up in fear of "offending" someone.

I was recently at a local (National chain) D&D. I hate the coffee, but wanted a breakfast sandwich. So I see something on the menu board that looked good.

I get to the counter and politely say - "I'll take a #5"
Response - "What would you like on that"
I say - "It says right on the menu"
Response - "do you want sausage"
I say - "Yes it says it comes with sausage"
Response - "Would you like cheese"
I say - "Again...yes, the menu says it comes with cheddar cheese"
Response as person looks at menu board over their shoulder - "What kind of cheese"
    my BP is rising
I say firmly - "it says it comes with cheddar cheese...it's a predetermined breakfast sandwich for crying out loud"
    Response - "OH"
I say - "are you new"
Response "No I've been here for a year"
    I say - "well I won't be coming back...have a nice day"

I will say it won't self level near as much as an oil base, just seems to be a characteristic of water-based products. Of course nobody wants to fool with oil based products anymore. Your brush of choice also has alot to do with the finish. There's so many choices out there for those it'll make your head spin. I typically like to use a HVLP spray gun for my wood projects, but that's not something everybody has a luxury of. Call me spoiled...

We can go anytime. I've flown in overcast, windy, calm, morning, evening, (once at night during a full moon..) hell I've even flown in the rain..by accident. Just saying after 20 years of flying I 'chase the dragon' now where I won't bother flying unless it's worth my while where I can either stay up or go XC and try to get some miles in. The newer nuggets at the park will take ten tows in a day or foot launch from morning to evening and wear their shoes out. I'm getting too old for that crap.

Dunks coffee is garbage, the drive-thru line here in Windham is around the damned corner of the block every morning and I can't even understand why. But in the cashier's defense (and from my personal experience bartending in college) you'd be surprised how stupid people are in terms of ordering a predetermined item and getting mad about it when it's brought to them or modifying the shit out of it. That's probably why they were verifying with you.
I had a woman order a cheeseburger once, and asked me to hold the cheese. "so a hamburger then?" "No, I want a cheeseburger with no cheese". She was being serious.. Had another order a vodka tonic with no tonic.
    Don't even get me started.

    So true.

Although living in my house....I'm not always sure which side of the fence I'm on.

My better half grew up in OK and is a Starbucks loyalist, meanwhile I go to DD since it's close and used to have good coffee. Makes for interesting morning trips sometimes when we have to make two stops for coffee

I go-to dd because they underpriced the local boutique coffee joint by more than a buck
