Thought about that too.. Was reading some stuff though saying that you still need another anchor point(s).. preferably. might be able to drill and tap for those, but then we're also talking about matching the contour of the slide. Turns into more work than it may be worth honestly. got some emails sent out asking some questions regarding it all, so we'll see.

Pretty sure you need a smith to do a lightening cut and you might need to buy an rmr sealing plate.

Well I can do the milling, not too worried about that. I did see that other shops do supply a sealing plate with theirs.. but I think they are milling later Generation P226's. Just looked up all the proof marks on the slide. West German, Kiel House, with a Definitive Proof mark in 1993. and roughly searching on 226 optic cuts.. images show an altered/updated slide, not similar to mine/Gpa's.

yup... US vs W. German made slides are completely different. extractors, retaining springs, slide manufacturing process, etc. That's a bummer.. time to tell G-pa the bad news.. :pout:

I've gotta say, this is the absolute worst year to have turned 18. I'm finally able to go to the range myself, but now ammo is too expensive to shoot regularly. I got a sig p320 on my birthday and I've only got to shoot it once in the 5 months I've had it. :( What are y'all's predictions for when things will be back to normal?

    agree 100%.

Just gave him a call and explained the whole thing. I think the best plan of attack is to sell this Holosun 407K (by sell I mean I'll buy it from him, lol) then just buy the new US/Updated P226 RX slide from Sig directly that's precut and has a Romeo Pro pre-installed for 600 bucks. He gets the optic and retains the authenticity of his P226.

Would like to have one too but I think they are selling for more than they are worth to me. I am currently waiting for GHM-9s to come back in stock for a PCC.

Saw these sitting there this morning. My wife is using them, I bought them in the 90’s. Wish they were still this cheap.

I have old stock of large caliber rounds laying around. Thank goodness I stocked up and only shoot 1 or 2 rounds per year to kill a deer! Anyway, just bought 3 binary triggers. for the AR and Ruger. As a laugh note, someone offered me 900 rounds of 5.56 for $1 each round! lmao!!

I gave away four boxes of Hornady 45acp Critical Defense before we hit phase 2 of this ammo shortage. I didn't have a 45 and needed to make space in my ammo safe. Kinda kicking myself because I could've flipped those boxes for some decent coin at this point. I have some 5.45x39 I bought by accident and need to move as well. I think I'm good on everything except .38 right now.
