Howdy y’all. Been busy already. Working through a pretty serious snag with the new building. Hoping it can be rectified easily but we will see. Frustrated.

Everybody looses spare keys, Robert. No Biggie. Folks inside are usually pretty forgiving too. Confident things will be just as there meant to be eventually. :)

Thanks y'all. I know it will work out one way or another. I'm just ready for this project to be done and it's the gift that keeps on giving.

On top of the many delays that keep popping up...

Last week I noticed a horizontal crack in a sheetrock seam @10' high running along the West wall of the Sanctuary. It seemed isolated and we were just going to get the Sheetrock crew back out to retape and float that section. I thought maybe the wall had been bumped with a lift or something simple. Fast Forward to yesterday morning when I noticed that the same seem crack is now present going around the entire building. Every wall touching the frame of the building has at least that cracked joint @ 10' but the closer I looked there are vertical cracks in areas as well. Some corners around windows cracked enough to pop out the mud from the joint. I walked outside and started looking at the exterior and sure enough we have cracks in the mortar joints in various places and in the stucco in at least 2 places I can find. I talked to our Construction foreman and he agrees that we have a major issue. We don't see any cracking in the slab anywhere which is good but makes this even more puzzling. We reached out to the PEMB Engineer and he is saying no way should we have that much movement in the building. At this point the best guess is some kind of major wind event with the storms we have been having. IDK. The builder is talking about possibly having to file an insurance claim because of how wide spread the damage is. We will see where this goes. It could be a small speedbump or a major issue. The builder, PEMB engineer and sheetrock company were meeting this morning to get some direction. I have not heard how that went. Like I said, it's just frustrating because we are so close to being done. Flooring was scheduled for Monday then some final details and we were set to finish between Christmas and New Year. Now i don't know.

It’s definitely been an ordeal. Nothing I should be complaining about though. Just gotta vent sometimes. It will be great when we get it finished. Hope y’all can still try and join us for the opening service. I’ll let you know as soon as we set the date.

Good that You stepped up this concern right quick, Robert. If it's in the design, then it's gotta get straightened out proper before you can proceed further. Might be friendly reminder time as to Who this house is exactly for & how to treat it accordingly. Just tell 'em next time your intervention won't be so kind.

Thanks y’all. I know it will get resolved and bring that this project is for HIM He will take care of it. I am just doing my best to do my part and have it turn out as good as possible.

I talked to the builder again today and they have a crew lined up for first thing Monday AM to get started on a fix. Prayers appreciated that this fixes things and we only lose a couple days of progress. I’m still hopeful for EOY completion.

Good morning. Haven't read all the pages but He has been mentioned a few times. What is his sanctuary you speak of?

Hey there. Good to have a new face stop by. I see you’re in the HC area as well. Where about are y’all?

The sanctuary we are discussing is the one our church is building. I am the Pastor of a church in Liberty Hill, TX and we kicked off a major building and property development project back at the end of January. It has definitely been interesting trying to get this done through Covid but we are almost there praise the Lord! I’ll post some update pics a little later today.

Hey thanks for your reply. I'm in Joppa...Bertram area. In saying that, me and my boy will see you soon. I've been looking for a home. A little not so personal background on me...confirmed as a Catholic and baptized as a Baptist. Confusing 50 years for me. But I'm ready whenever He is. :) Daughter was baptized a few years ago in the Methodist church here in town. Called up all on her own with zero talk/push from me. She heard Him calling. I want the same for my boy. Looking for a "younger" church crowd though as the one in town never felt like home. Hope that makes sense. Please send me the name of your church or PM if you want.

And God bless you and yours, Robert. If not this Sunday, we'll see you soon.
