    Damn ghost spiders. Lol.

We actually don't have a single smoke detector in our house. I might look into that nest system

I like the Google stuff. I've got a Nest thermostat that works really well so it makes sense to me to go with the Nest smoke alarms as well.

They look pretty good. Just expensive. $119 for a single, $329 for a 3 pack. So I'm looking at $612 for a 6 pack.

Yeah, these are all old and due for replacement, overdue by a long shot for a few of them. Rather annoying that the newest one, from 2012, is the one that went off and triggered the rest.

That's a lot of scratch to pay Google to spy on you.

Like I said, I already have a Nest thermostat, so they've already been spying on me and have seen how boring I am.

    I ain't scurred.

I have Wyze cameras so I'm paying Seattle to spy on me but at least they are cheap.

They'll finally be able to contact him about his extended warranty.

Those people are admirable in their persistence. My newest vehicle is 13 years old and they *stlll* call me.

I have a nest thermostat and doorbell but wouldn't go for their smoke detectors. I have a feeling it's going to go the same way as the nest alarm

I think mine had a capacitor going bad. Pulled em off the ceiling and disconnected them and the stupid thing still beeped for a few minutes.

They still support the Nest Secure/Alarm, even though they have discontinued the product. I'm pretty comfortable with getting the smoke detectors. Ordered them just now actually.

Went through the Google store though, instead of Amazon. Lots of reviews on Amazon, people were receiving 1-2 year old products. Not good for something that is meant to be replaced every 10 years. Hopefully, going thru Google will get me brand new detectors.

One reason why I haven't upgraded my stuff either. This year of 2020 is dubbed the "out of stock on everything"

I paid under msrp. Mines just finally giving me troubles. And auto desk doesn’t like it so much anymore (you know... slowly trying to design a mount to make a certain engine fit a certain car....)
