TRD exhaust tip too big for ARB exhaust jack

So I got my TRD exhaust installed, liking the slightly louder note. But the tip is too big to fit in the ARB funnel for the exhaust jack. The obvious solution is a bigger funnel. However I’d prefer to skip trial and error and ask if anyone else has modified their exhaust jack funnel.

 

not 100% positive, but is this an extra large cone they sell separately? seems to fit 5" as per this description here:

I don't have a relevant comment, but man I haven't had Shakespear's pizza in YEARS! I wonder if it actually tastes as good as I remember or if it was just the fact that I was always hungover when I ate it that made it seem so good.

 

Can you somehow fit the funnel into the exhaust tip and just use that way? might be enough of a seal for it to work. I've never seen this ARB product before, so I'm really don't know anything about it.

That’s thinking outside the box! It’s designed to create a seal with the tip inside, if the line out kinks the back pressure will pop the funnel off pronto. Anyway I tried it, not so bueno. Thanks tho!

 

Still my favorite. I live in St Louis now so some grocery stores carry their frozen pizza. Mmm pepperoni!

 

I'll have to pick some up when I'm back there for the holidays, Dogtown's frozen pizza is pretty good too!

 

ah I see! Thought maybe if the sizes were just right it might work that way. worth a shot! looks like replacing the funnel with the bigger one is your solution!

Debated the TRD exhaust for a long time. Paid to have it installed, even. I’m liking it, its better at the high rpms. Stick shift.

 

The snootier Schnucks carry it. Hampton Viilage yes, the one at Hampton and Gravois, no. Yes, Dogtown, 4Hands Brewing!

Just out of curiosity, where around STL are you wheeling that you need the ARB jack?

 

Pruitt Mountain tomorrow. Caledonia MO. Straight SouthWest on Tesson Ferry off 270 about hour and a half.
Bought this Jack for Moab, never used it but always carry it. Larger bottle Jack also. Own a winch but haven’t installed it. Afraid my mpgs will die with another 100 lbs up front.

 

Wow, i did not even know such thing existed. Im surprised the exhaust makes enough presure to jack up the truck, very cool device.
