I am looking to buy a Tacoma in the next 3-4 months. This will be my first truck, having wanted one my entire life. I am considering just the basic I4, regular cab, 4X2, 5 speed manual Tacoma....but I am worried that I might regret it later on.

I want to hear from owners of the basic Tacoma, how do you like your truck?
Do you regret not purchasing a V6?

I love my Tacoma (2006 regular cab, I4). Every now and then I do wish I had extended cab, but otherwise it's perfect for what I need to do.

(Former Tacoma owner) 17" Mustang wheels, Eclipse AVN 5435, Deck plate mod, vertical Maglite mount, K&N high-flow air filter, Delta gullwing box, amp, sub, 30 percent tint, floor lighting, tilt activated glove box lighting, lighting behind seat, engine bay lighting, SR5 grill surround, power windows, outside temp display
I love mine except the lack of four wheel drive and space behind the seats. It has decent power and I would imagine a five speed combined with the engine would be kinda sporty especially with a 2.7L
