who gets Bermuda time? is there such a time?

Atlantic Standard Time

 

No, we're EST. There's always talk of moving us to Atlantic Time (same as eastern Canadian Provinces) since we're so far east in the EST. That would put Maine as the only state in Atlantic.

one time i worked on the border of two time zones in Indiana, it kinda sorta sucked lol

 

I vote that they deal with this daylight savings garbage first. I thought they were going to repeal it by now. It's not 1850 anymore..

All my friends from other parts of the country tell me I live in "Canada junior" so Atlantic time would just solidify it.

 

My buddy I was stationed with calls me a ‘Southern Canadian’ and asks how many polar bears are here and if we ride them to work in the winter. He lives in South Carolina and sends me palm tree and sun pics in the dead of winter. Hes a dick, but hes cool

 

Sounds like my friend in the coastguard that grew up in Maine with me. Middle of winter he sends me pics from some beach overlooking the ocean, I send him back a picture from the top of a ski mountain. I think he gets more jealous than I do...

They should leave it at daylight savings all the time, like Mike said more light in the evenings. Well that is for people with normal hours, no clue what the Hell that is like anymore. Working 9pm to 7am has been kicking my ass for two years now. However I am moving to 2nd shift the week of Christmas (and yes, we're working Christmas...) so atleast I'll be able to still sleep when it's dark out. I tried to get on daylight shift, but it didn't work out. It's all for the better as I'd have to get up at 3:30am and I'm a horrible, grumpy morning person. Actually the past couple months I've been in a permanent grumpy mood. Hence my title under my name

I hear you, I work 3pm to 3am. The other option was 3am to 3pm and I sure can't get up at 2am. Or fall asleep at 6pm!
