Figures, it’s still 2020.

Wow 52k and the rear main seal has failed. I called a local stealership to speak to the service manager to see what they would say etc. I wanted to go after work because they close at 6:00 pm and leave work around 2:30, figured that would be plenty of time to lift the truck and look at the bell housing and would be case closed. Apparently they need the truck for a full day because the process is inspection, photos, open a case?, Emails to Toyota corporate and wait for an approval or denial. I figured that I might save some time and send photos and vehicle info ahead of time to Toyota directly to try and expedite my situation. I’ve read somewhere that they have a new seal design that replaces the original due to early failure issues. Anybody else experience this issue?
