    I understand.
But if the shit hits the fan.... the permit to carry it will be worthless technically, cause most people will be armed at that point and it won't matter. :hattip:

Also, I have Aspergers Syndrome; I know a woman who also has AS who served overseas in the Army National Guard and worked as a private security guard. She has obviously been trained on various firearms, but I haven't seen her in years and I don't know if she has a personal weapon or a carry permit. One of my Aspie friends has fired his dad's shotgun before, but guns just aren't his thing. Part of the reason I got a carry permit was because I wanted to see if having an autism spectrum disorder would prevent me from getting one or otherwise delay the process; In Pennsylvania, carry permits are obtained at the sheriff's office for the county you live in (Bucks in my case). I was in and out in less than an hour, easily passed the background check, and whether or not I had a form of autism never came up...

Basically, right now this is a "Better to have one and not need it than to have need one and not have it" type of situation!

The Glock 43X is a great choice if you’re a fan of Glocks. They make a 15 round magazine that fits flush with the gun and it’s much slimmer than the Glock 19. It’s super comfortable to conceal carry everyday inside the waistband but if you want to pocket carry you might want to go for the regular Glock 43. Not as many rounds but it’s shorter. I would just carry a spare magazine.

For concealed Sig Sauer P365XL. Small size, easy to conceal and a 3.9” barrel which gives a nice site picture. Trigger is crisp on this pistol.

For open carry and better target acquisition and a decent price Canik has several well priced and high performing pistols.

1911’s will add weight, P226 is tried and true also, but a bit lighter. S&W M&P series are nice.

Need to identify the round you want to carry. .380 is lighter, 9mm is all around, .40 is snappy, .45 is a big boy and you can’t carry as many, 10mm is in larger frames. I could continue to go on

Best bet, go to a local range that rents guns and try a bunch

Glock 43x is a fun CC. Single stack and smaller than my hand

    That’s what I’m gonna run

Dad knows and is fine with it (we are going to be going to the range together, and he just wants me to take classes first, which I 100% agree with); Mom doesn't know because while mom is not against people owning guns, she doesn't like them.

One of my friends (not an Aspie) lived with his parents instead of renting a place so he could save up for a house; Now he and his wife own a house, but while he lived with his parents it was the exact opposite...

His mom knows about the three or four guns he owned as well as his carry permit, but his dad does not.

That's how I got started, but I'm afraid to do so right now because of COVID ramping up; Ditto my dad with his own guns...

My uncle is a cop in New Jersey and his service weapon is an H&K; Forget the caliber and exact model though...

Also, I find it rather ironic that your username is Sig45, but you are recommending H&K!
