Since that car is part BMW, I’d imagine the price is stroke-inducing!

I had two classic "OH SHIT!" moments with my truck today; The first one occurred while driving to Doylestown from the little show in Fairless Hills. I made a left turn onto the Newtown Bypass, and I was not going fast at all; For no reason whatsoever, my truck fishtailed and I lost almost all control!

It had been raining earlier, but the rain had stopped by then and the sun was coming out; The pavement did not seem any wetter than usual. The back end of my truck slid sideways to the right and then fishtailed back and forth violently, almost sending me flying over the median; Luckily, I regained control before anything really bad happened. I don't know what the hell happened, because there was hardly any water on the ground and my tires have plenty of tread!

"OH SHIT!" moment #2 occurred after I bought more parts to put cruise control in my truck, and while it didn't pose any immediate danger, it could have been really bad if I got pulled over later tonight while driving around with the lights on! My insurance is automatically paid via credit card so it never lapses, but I have to replace the card every six months (June 3rd and December 3rd; I thought it was the 5th, which is how this debacle got started); I went into the glove box to check the status of my insurance, and found that not only did my insurance card expire two days previous, but my registration card was nowhere to be found!

I have never lost a registration card before in almost ten years of being a licensed driver, and I have no idea where it could have gone; Anyway, I was freaking out, so I just went to the same notary my dad used to transfer the Tacoma's title to me back December 2016. Thirty bucks and less than fifteen minutes later, I had a new registration card and my worries were over; I went home and printed out a new insurance card, and now if I get pulled over for the Christmas lights, there won't be any other unnecessary headaches!

What was the first cheapest? I actually had a dealer charge me for the crush washer for oil pan while buying an oil filter. I think it was 15 cents lol

I saw this somewhere in either King of Prussia or Conshohocken...

It seems like Lukoil always has higher prices; There’s one in North Wales near the Montgomery Mall that charges similar prices for a gallon of regular, while about a mile or two away is another gas station that charges a full dollar less than that Lukoil!

:santa: :santa2: My truck continues to be a massive hit everywhere I go; I stopped a Wawa in Horsham for bathroom break, and saw this woman in a black Mercedes taking a picture of my truck with her phone...

This is a regular occurrence; People take pictures of my truck with their phones, give me the thumbs up, and/or toot their horns at me. Who doesn't love a pickup truck that's literally covered front to back in Christmas lights?!?! While driving through Peddler's Village, I've observed people dancing to the Christmas music I blare on the stereo!

Have either of you ever gone on a ride-along with a cop? This is something I've wanted to do for years, but it's been difficult finding a local department that's willing to do it...

Now with COVID back in full swing, I suspect it will be even longer; My uncle is a lieutenant in Edison, New Jersey who said he could probably get me in (this was obviously pre-COVID), but he's retiring in the next couple of years. I've become pretty chummy with one local cop in particular in the town where I currently reside, and the last time I ran into him and we chatted, he said to tell him if I need anything...

I'm hoping that once COVID is under control I can call in that favor and get myself a ride-along!

I use to train law enforcement so I have done a lot of it. From beat cops to swat teams I have trained a lot

How hard is it for a normal civilian get a ride-along?

My license plate is starting to look a little bit worn out after eleven years on my truck; Thinking about getting a new plate and strongly considering this one...

I used to ride along with the California Highway Patrol and later on the Fresno county Sheriff department. I was considering this as a career choice. In the mid-90’s I realized the LEOs were outgunned by a lot. I didn’t have the patience or mentality to be a good LEO. It’s not for everyone.

I definitely could not be a cop; I respect them more because of what they go through...

Some departments don’t do it cause of liability reasons
