The Redline fluid already has limited slip additives for hypoid style LSDs as @Voltron4x4 showed in his photo. For clutch type LSDs it's a different story.

That being said, I believe all 2nd gens have open diffs, except for pre-2009, and some Sport models. Later models have an electronic "LSD" that's not really an LSD, the limited slip effect is achieved through ECU controlled brake modulation.

How’s the ride? Do you have any kind of lift? I’m thinking about adding them to mine.

The bumpershellz that I installed 1 + year ago was coming off the drivers side. Tried to fix it, but it wouldn’t stay. When I removed the bumper, the drivers side just fell off. The passenger side was stuck on good. Don’t know why this happened.....but anyway, wanted to get a solid bumper, but didn’t want the added weight. So on cyber Monday, a Toyota dealership had these marked way down. Yes, the satin black one is O.E.M. I also replaced some rusted bolts, as I had to reuse all this including the step parts. Everything went well till I tried to remove the upper top step—-I broke some of the tabs. I know how to remove this now without breaking anything. Lesson learned. Did get to order that part while on special with additional discount from another Toyota dealer. The bumper is on straight, just the person taking pic is a little off. ;)

Before with bumpershellz covering chrome up.

After with satin black O.E. Bumper (waiting on upper top step)

Thanks for detailing it further. Write-up I had read in the past said we still needed the additive for the front but it makes more sense that we could probably skip it, now that you mention the ECU control. Reminded me that DAC and LSD is all mostly that brake modulation, as is the new and fresh crawl control lol.

I also already use redline so that was just supplemental as well. Seems like overkill I hear but never caused any issues so far. That’s been drained now though that I am dealing with some other actuator issues.

I have an 05. I feel dumb now for not getting the cable when I ordered the terminal upgrade on BF. Oh well, chalk it up to my complete ignorance of all things electrical. Thanks again!

Installed the Truxedo Lo Pro tonneau cover yesterday evening. Very impressed on the quality and function of the cover, and it's sleek look! It's currently 30* this morning.

I finally checked the drains in front of the front doors. I pulled back the rubber flap to find plenty of dirt and leaves stuck in there. I got a stiff piece of wire and made a hook on the end. I pulled about a cup of debris out of each side then ran the hose in there to clean it out well. I’m glad I finally checked it out.

Finally bolted on the led back-up lights for 30W of daytime. I made some brackets to tuck them up under the bumper, so they're hardly noticeable.
It's a shame no one except the annual inspection guy will ever have the opportunity to gaze upon my craftsmanship.
    Definitely a successful little project.

Oh, and I stuck on one of those "old man" fisheye mirrors.

I just put it on my desktop. I have so much planned for this truck lol. I have all of the materials I need, a welder... no time. My spare tire carrier (37"x12.50) is going to blow ya all away. The axle wrap is insane so a traction bar has got to be first.
