Has anyone experienced condensation inside the headlight housing?

Your data is here for the fogs: Toyota LED fogs 6235k
And here for the headlights: Toyota OEM LED headlights 6164k

Aka there is a 71k color temp difference, meaning they are practically identical.

Got mine installed this morning and my wife said they look more beefy. Lol. Loving the drl’s and don’t think i need to align much if any. Came pretty level with the old halogen’s but i’ll drive some tonight and see. Took about an hr and half. Pretty easy just have to go slow and mask the bumper in places you may bump or scratch. Also covered the lenses until the lights were bolted in. Didn’t force anything in but just went gentle and let the housing line up to the mounts. Tested all functions like turn signal, hazards, parking and everything is functional. Matt’s harness worked perfectly. Can’t wait till it gets dark to take a test drive.

Man, this is the last big thing I want on my truck. I don’t see many of these OEM LED headlights around where I live. They’re reserved exclusively for the limited/pros. So not having them on most Tacoma’s that I’ve seen have made it easier to wait it out a bit.

anyone from Canada made the jump to these headlights? Barring the cost, I think these are a worthy upgrade. I wonder if these would have a reduced price over the next couple years.

That's awesome, congrats! We all love beefy!
Did you have any issues with the clip's? Was there a particular youtube video that helped on the process?

After the grill was off, then removed the plastic dividers i was able to reach in to the clips on the black fender and release them while pushing outward without damaging any. Worked for both sides and slowly popped the bumper off the mounts to get to the side bolt. Loud pop but thats normal. Only needed to drop bumper enough to get that one side bolt. I did watch this vid and it gave me a general idea how to remove the bumper when i was deciding beteen OEM or Morimoto’s.

I got mine for employee price when I got my truck. Great upgrade for performance and
aesthetics. Like you also said, they are pretty rare around here too, I’ve only seen 1 other truck with them because hardly anyone buys the Limited or the Pro.

That’s awesome man. I can get 15% off the headlights. Curious how much employee price is.
Did you get the standard or the Pro ones? I want to get the Pro ones but I’m a bit turned off with the chrome around the “TRD” and “PRO”.

Yea I didn’t like the Pro badging so I went with the Limited ones. Definitely a good upgrade, but expensive. Even Mike’s harness that was “$90” cost me like $170. Haha.

Have you tested the new Morimoto XB Gen2? Between OEM LED and Gen2, what would you recommend?

    Not yet. Coming soon!

OEM LED > Gen1 XB in every regard. Will be interesting to see how the Gen2 stacks up!

It is on hold at the moment. I'm waiting for the final verdict on the Gen2 headlights from @crashnburn80

A lot of people got them here

2016+ Tacoma Plug-N-Play headlight conversion harness for 2020 OEM LED Headlights - NOW AVAILABLE!!! | Tacoma World

There is an email in the thread on the first page. I think you can still send an email and get one made.

Thread is closed though and the member banned who was making I guess? NOT the person who created the thread* different person makes them. I got mine from him.

The retrofit source has some too. It is listed in the later pages of the thread as well if you want to go that route but I heard some issues with it, not all of them, might have been a case by case? Still might be an option.
