Truck is finally free of its clutch accumulator. Looking forward to not having a sticky/lethargic pedal in the cold

i saw nothing like this where i was at today, which is widespread everywhere up north here, even on I-80 for 10 miles both directions thru town and
this pic in the more affluent part of town, i think there is embezzlement going on!

 

Same as it is everywhere dude. Materials and time and equipment get more expensive, but gas taxes don't go up, and what property taxes do go up, allocated for schools, fire protection, and politicians pockets. Never for DoT maintenance projects.

but the I-29 to the Iowa border is most excellent after the project almost completed
I hit the Iowa border and it was back to hellish roads felt like the wheels were gonna fall off
I-70 to the sports complex was great compared to what i am used to here

 

3rd gens handle broken roads better than 1st gens.

yes!!, i have driven my relatives 2nd gen reg cab around here, the harshness is still there but its softened out quite a bit sitting way up high
so it could possibly be those duraTracs riding rough or the still-stock front suspension components, idk

driving interstate highway speeds going over 1 to 2 inch drop off in pavement sucks, somebodys bound to get killed around here on the roads when something from somebodys trailer falls out into heavy fast traffic

 

You need some falkens and 2.5” shocks. Then it’ll be like riding on a cloud

 

do i need to get lifted for those 2.5" to fit, i am totally clueless in all that

 

Having lived in Missouri most of my life, in Wyoming and Montana for a couple years, and now frequently traveling around SE Nebraska for work, they all seem to be about the same level of crap. Freeze/thaw tears roads apart and funds aren't properly allocated to fix them, as has been mentioned.

Upside is my work truck feels like I'm gliding around on an overstuffed recliner. Rough roads aren't a problem.
