I was watching Checo come back through the field after that awful lap 1 mess and thought "I hope the various brain trusts are watching." At the end of the day it was a very well deserved win. Perez put himself in a position to win, and then stuff happened. Brilliant drive.

I was disappointed to hear Checo's post race interview where he as much as admitted that next year is off the table for him. Perez in a Red Bull would be pure trouble for Fish Lips, which is not something the management of that team wants to repeat. At Red Bull "there can be only one."

 

Nice drive by Perez! Wish the other 2 podiums went elsewhere. Not a fan of Ocon or Stroll at all. Feel bad for Russell, had a win snatched away from him. Kinda hope Hamilton is done for the year and gives Russell another shot

Well for Russell it is just a part of racing. Punctures happen. It could happen to anyone.

I can almost guarantee Checo will have more points this season than Vettel will in his seat next year

Each car can only use tires from their pool of tires, even if on the same team.
