1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

I cut the muffler off of my Tacoma. Dear Lord I knew the 5vz sounded bad, but no muffler it's worse than all the Honda four cylinders put together. It makes a viper v10 not sound shitty. it's basically everything that's wrong with the world all wrapped up in one horrible exhaust note. Toyota outdid themselves with the engineering of this engine it lasts amazing and is easy to work on. But in all configurations but 100% silent it sounds like dog shit. Know one thing for sure, putting cutouts on a 5vz would be an extreme waste of money

If you'reasking, why cut the muffler off if you hate the sound... Well I cut the OEM style one off to.put an even quieter setup on because hearing it at all is torture. It takes the fun out of having a loud exhaust. I really hope the extra flair from the turbo makes it better cause I don't really want a quiet vehicle. Makes me miss the 4 banger

 

The mask in general is what I don't understand. But it's because of my background in mask department.

 

It sounds OK with aftermarket headers. I like mine with headers and a Raptor turbo muffler.


But with the stock headers and open exhaust it definitely sounds like trash

 

I mean... They're only intended to help you keep your germs to yourself, like sneezing into your elbow or shirt rather than sneezing out into the open. I can understand how that works and I'm fine with it. But to that end why the hell wear one in your car by yourself lol.

Anyone thinking a mask is going to stop you from breathing the virus in if you're immediately exposed to it is very misinformed. Unless you have anti viral masks but even those aren't 100%

Kicking my ass to clean up the side of the house so I can move the fence and put up a car port for the 350.

Built a firewood enclosure to move some of the firewood to the other side of the yard and cut up some scrap cabinets and other junk for garbage.


Remember when I said axle roommate left a towel with shit on it in a box in my garage? I think I found the bin he hid the shit in. Had to go get my respirator

 

On the subject though, I am not supportive of these stupid closures.

The rules exist for those that can't rule themselves, that's why we are where we are with this.

I'm generally a very clean person, which I really thought would be the norm. I don't often wear my mask (only when required), go out often, see my girl and her family often, etc.

I've exposed myself so much to the outside world and have yet to get it at all.

Wash your damn hands, don't pick your face, etc. It's so damn easy.

 

On the bright side, at least he didn't try to flush it
