Has anyone noticed that the morimotos are less bright than good led bulbs in the oem projector? Maybe mine aren’t pointed properly but they seem a little dimmer.

Not at all. I had the Morimoto 2 stroke LED headlight bulbs in the OEM fixtures before I gave them away and installed the XB headlights themselves.

Pardon the pun, but it's "night and day" difference. The XBs are far superior in low beam performance than the 2 strokes. I can see further and that's the point. I'd never do LED bulbs again.

I appreciate your input. I will properly get them pointed tonight.

I wasn't planning on getting new headlights, thought about it but then decided to hold off. Then Black Friday happened and now I have a set of these that will be shipped out to me within the next few days. Stupid sexy Morimoto XB Headlights.

You are going to love them! Make sure you have a ratcheting 8mm combination wrench to make the adjustments go a lot easier.

For proper aiming. Post up when done!

Yeah, I'm bringing them to a shop to get installed. I know nothing about how to do this truck stuff.

Ordered some SS3 Fogs, Raptor Lights and OEM TRD Pro tail lights this weekend. Entire lighting is getting upgraded. I'm super stoked.

Whats up ya’ll, want to eventually get one of these bad boys but opted to wait for now. Originally planned to purchase one this month but I saw a comment on one of the youtube videos reviewing the gen2 XB headlights that mentioned Morimoto is coming out with XBs with an amber drl version. Anyone hear of this update as well?

Right? Same here. It would be nice if Morimoto gives the option to switch between the two drls. Nonetheless, it would be a sick version to have. Side note, Tacos El Gordo has the best tacos in SD, I miss it!

This is possible by the way. Did a proof of concept today and so far so good. Medium brightness daylight DRL (to keep resistor happy), low brightness night DRL. I made both adjustable. Looks so good. I’ll start a new thread to talk about it.

    Aloha All,

I installed my XBs yesterday on my 17 Offroad but I don't see the LEDs go through the starting and off sequence when my DRL starts. I did not unplug the wire that would allow the sequential on the blinker so not sure if that is the reason. I believed I have the 2nd gen XBs.

Does anyone experience any intense DRL flickering? It's only when the DRLs are on by themselves. I'm guessing it's caused by some of the other leds in my truck but I really don't know what to do to fix it.

Find a Honda Civic and measure from the ground to the top of the trunk  Subtract 2-3"

Hahaha about the Honda Civic, no one really cares about those ugly turds.

Measure from ground to center of projector. That's the height you want on your wall. Mark with blue painter's tape. Proceed with aiming.
