    Why did you even pull it off the truck? I'd have just pulled it out. I'd say chances are 50/50 that it didn't go all the way through. If it did stick a plug in there, air it up and keep going. You could do all of that in way less time than it took you to pull the tire and mount the spare.

    I know what is. I was just pissed and venting. By the time I noticed it it was too flat to get it near a compressor. So I had to swap the tire.

    Had a similar puncture via a nail with the same stock tires. Didn't see it myself and brought it to the dealer and they found it and patched it for free in like 45 min.

    Kevlar is not good against piercing. Kevlar is good for stopping blunt force. A kevlar vest offers very little protection from a knife... same with kevlar laced tires. Not much protection from puncture pointed sticks and nails.

    "Kevlar My Ass" is right! Makes for a nifty sidewall, but doesn't prevent damage/pucture in the tread area.
    I endured eleven flat tires in my first 17K miles with ten of them due to sharp rocks penetrating through the treads.

    I was in the Northern Nevada outback and had four flat tires in less than twenty four hours with the final flat being a 2" gash. This is a very remote area and not having a spare tire onboard is a bad idea. Luckily I was able to buy a set of LT's in Winnemucca for the win.

    I can't believe this is the first I'm hearing of that story. E rated my ride a little bit worse but they don't puncture very often. You've seen what I do to my rig and other then a few blown beads I've never had a puncture or sidewall tear.
